Was very impressed by the Freo fightback after Quarter Time. It was a fairly tight game for most of the match, but Freo really stepped up when it counted and that was the difference.

Good to see Campbell put in a good effort for a youngster (though I was admittedly baffled by his 'mark' in the last quarter), whilst Tarrant proved why you went so hard to trade for him.

Sandilands had another sublime game and is undoubtedly the best ruckman in the competition. Pavlich was quiet, but the 'match-sealer' he kicked in the last quater was all class.

There's definitely room for improvement for both sides, but i'm sure Freo's season is now back on track.

Cheers.

Thanks phil. The Hawks had me on the edge of the seat all game. Very good effort by them and with all the talented young blokes they have will only improve.

Really pleased with the bug K1W1's efforts in his third game.

Good luck next week.

10 mins into the 2nd quarter I thought you had us, not to mention when you hit the front in the last.
Was a good game. I think we all got our money's worth.
You guys are still in the eight and we are still in the hunt. :)

Good game. Played the way your talented side should be playing.

The future is very rosy for the Hawks. No shame to lose today.

Except for the por skill level of both teams it wasnt a bad game and just shows hawthorne are close to the top 8 than people might think

I picked Hawks for the 8 this year, and were a possible smokey for the 4. Have a very good midfield and when Williams gets back a super strong forward line.

Good signs for your blokes.

I wrote up a bit of glowing report of the Hawks pre-season. Saw nothing to change my mind yesterday. Thy might drop off towards the end of the season give their youth but there is lots to look forward to. And the Buddy show should keep you entertained for a while. He needs Boyle to come on and take pressure off him.

I think we played well in patches but still not 4 quarter consistent effort.

I actually thought the Hawks played better than Freo on Sunday, and were unfortunate to lose. They've got a lot of good running players, and that McGlynn bloke is great. How bloody tall is he? He looks about 4 foot.
