THIS GAME HAS NEW ROLES. PLEASE READ THE OP CAREFULLY
Basic Rules:
At the beginning of the game each player is given a 'role' at random and in secret by the moderator, via PM. Regular villagers don't receive a PM naturally. Those roles belong to 1 of 4 factions: The Hostages (good), The Police (evil), The Terrorists (evil) and Harry Ellis (SK) (independent).
The aim of the villagers is to identify and kill all the terrorists, police and SK before the terrorists can kill enough villagers so that (#of terrorists or #of police = #of hostages). Only one faction (Evil/Good/Independent) can win.
How are players killed?
Each 'turn' of the game will last 24hrs or so and also represents one 'day' of game time, thus a game will go on for several days before it is concluded. There are two 'phases' to every turn of the game;
Night Phase (8:00pm – 9:00am): When the terrorists/cops secretly decide amongst themselves, via PM communication, which hostage (one per night) that they shall slaughter and kill and then each inform the moderator of their vote via PM. Votes for the night phase are to be in no later than 9am.
Day Phase (9:00am – 8:00pm): After the slaughter has been announced, everybody, hostages and terrorists/cops alike, discusses and ultimately votes publicly in the game-thread upon which player (one per day) that they shall lynch and kill. Votes for the day phase are to be in no later than 8pm.
Obviously during the day the hostages will want the group to vote for and lynch a terrorist/cop, whilst the terrorists/cops themselves will want not to be lynched; herein lies the fundamental strategy of the game:
Can the hostages identify the werewolves whilst at the same time convincing the rest of the group that they're not themselves a terrorist or cop? And can the terrorists/cops convince the group that they're not evil at all and thus avoid being lynched?
Werewolf Etiquette:
There are two main rules which everyone must follow in order for the game to run successfully;
KILLED PLAYERS MUST LEAVE THE GAME
If you are killed at any point during the game then you are no longer allowed to participate although I will allow a farewell post, but that post cannot impact the remainder of the game. Anyone breaking this rule will be banned from the next game.
THERE MUST BE NO PRIVATE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN PLAYERS EXCEPT BETWEEN WEREWOLVES and MAFIA
Between non-werewolves and mafia, sending PM's or other forms of private communication concerning the game is not allowed.
Anyone caught sending screen captures of BigFooty from private communications in this thread will be modkilled instantly with no warning. Even if you are just QUOTING PMs from BigFooty or any other board with relevance to this game, you will be modkilled instantly with no warning.
Missing 2 lynch votes in a row or 3 votes in total will see you mod-killed. Missing 2 night actions (if given a role) will see you mod-killed. You may choose to not use a night action but you must state so in your PM
Anyone found to be breaking the above rules will be banned from the next game, and repeat offences will result in being banned from all future games should there be any; please follow the rules and keep the game legitimate.
For this game we will not be using the Reason for Lynching rule. Vote for anyone for any reason at anytime during the Day Phase.
Voting:
During the Day Phase players must vote for whom to lynch, your vote must be formatted in bold like this: Player Name.
For this game you may not use the No Vote vote option.
Upon the voting deadline (end of day-phase) the votes will be tallied by the moderator and whoever has received the most will be lynched and be out of the game: remember, once killed you cannot take further part; do not reveal your roles to anyone until the game has been concluded.
Any ties in voting will be decided by a coin toss scenario on the first day, or a countback on the following days. If the players are equal after a count back, a coin toss will again be used.
ROLES:
Police Force (4):
FBI Agent Big Johnson (Godfather) - The police can be real dickheads, and none bigger than Big Johnson - FBI Agent. Johnson's aim is to undermine John McClane at every opportunity, using his team to do so. Can seer at night, and cannot die at night.
FBI Agent Little Johnson (Head honcho) - Little Johnson is just that - and has issues compensating for his size. When his buddy bites the dust, he'll happily jump to the head of the queue. Can nominate players to kill at night, and if the Godfather is killed, Little Johnson becomes the Godfather.
Deputy Police Chief Dwayne T. Robinson (Goon) - This guy is just a flat out *******. He does more bad than good, but nevertheless is able to nominate players to kill at night.
Dispatcher (Goon) - Everyone remembers this annoying woman, who literally HEARS BULLETS BEING SHOT OVER THE PHONE and tells McClane to get off the line. What a bitch. Can nominate a player to kill at night.
Win Condition: When the Police Force = the number of villagers when the Terrorists, Al Powell, Holly McClane and John McClane are all dead.
The Terrorists (4):
Hans Gruber (Alpha Werewolf) - This is one slick mother f*****. The brains behind the entire operation, and a tough man to kill. Can seer at night, and cannot dies at night.
Tony (Werecub) - Karl's younger brother who ends up being John's billboard. When he gets killed the terrorists get two kills at night.
Karl (Beta Wolf) - Can nominate players to kill at night. When his brother Tony is killed, Karl goes on a rampage, giving the Terrorists an extra kill (note: this is the extra kill referenced in Tony's role, not an extra one. Even if Karl is dead the terrorists still get the extra kill). Can nominate a kill at night.
Theo (Werewoman) - Theo cuts the power to the building, blocking people's ability to see the Terroists coming. Each night can block a player's role.
Win Condition: When number of Terrorists = to number of villagers when the Police, Al Powell, Holly McClane and John McClane are all dead.
Harry Ellis (Serial Killer) - Harry is an idiot. He pretends to know John to get in with Hans, but really he's just selling himself down the river. Master of destruction, the Serial Killer wants everyone dead. Cannot be killed at night and gets to kill one person each night. No faction can win with Harry alive.
Win Condition: Must reach the final 4 regardless of who is still alive.
The Hostages (18):
Holly McClane (Seer) - Holly can learn the role of one person each night. If John is killed, she can make two seers on two separate occasions.
John McClane (Vigilante) - Gets to kill 1 player each night. If Holly is killed, can make two kills on two separate occasions.
Al Powell (Doctor) – Gets to select and protect one person each night from the chance of death. They may only choose to protect themselves once. They can protect any other player an unlimited number of times.
EMERGENCY SERVICES (3):
Ambulance Driver: Leader of the Emergency Services, can protect one player for one night in the game.
Fire Fighter: In a PM with the Ambulance Driver and Cop, can protect one person for one day from a lynch (the second highest vote getter will die). Will need to nominate the person during the day before the deadline.
Cop: In a PM with the Ambulance Driver and Fire Fighter. Can kill one person one night in the game.
Joseph Tagaki (Mayor) - This guy is a cool customer. He refuses to talk to the Terorrists, and can be a real influence over the group. His lynch vote will count for two.
Argyle (Paranoid Gun Owner) - Argyle chills out in his limo for most of the game, but if anyone gets close, he might freak out and do something crazy. If he starts his car during the night, and someone approaches, they will be run down. Argyle isn't a great driver though, and when he rams his car into a wall to take the intruder out, he'll kill himself. Argyle will kill the lowest ranked member of any group that attacks him. E.g. Terrorists and Cops attack him, both groups will lose their lowest ranked surviving member. If that is the Godfather they WILL die.
Hostages (10) - Everyday people with no special power.
Win Condition: Eliminate the Terrorists, Police Force and Harry Ellis.
