Maybe you should stop thinking of the factions and village as moral choices, and think of them as team red, blue, yellow, and purple. You get recruited and it's "stuff you team yellow, I'm team purple now".

I was more thinking because I am a spud at this game, but if you want to make it about philosophical positions I’ll go with that. Makes me seem smarter.
