Eagles Hierarchy a Complete Joke
By Robert Walls

A few Months ago, the west coast eagles was one of the most successful and most respected football clubs in the competition. After winning the last 2 premierships, and almost winning one in 2005, it seemed as though nothing could go wrong over in the west. Chris Judd signed a new deal, along with Mark Seaby, Ben Cousins and Daniel Kerr all having a uneventful off season.

However the West Coast Hierarchy, once again found a way, to ruin there good luck, tarnish any respect the football public had for them, and make a mockery of the proud history of the club and the AFL. The madness started when the club board thought that it was necessary to remove dual premiership coach and club legend John Worsfold, and decided to replace him by a man with no football knowledge what so ever, football personality bryan strauchn.

As if that wasnt enough to outrage the clubs loyal fans. About 3 months after roughster Daniel Chich had signed a two year deal to the eagles, he was told that the contract he signed was a mistake, and he was traded to geelong, for geelong forward Travis Varcoe. Since the trade, Travis Varcoe has not produced anything, whilst Daniel Chick is a constant starter in the geelong side, and playing very good football.

To add salt to the wound, the west coast board did not delist any players, and entered the draft with 38 players, but you can only have 35 players, so therefore the eagles could not take any picks in the national draft, a move which will badly tarnish the clubs future and make them non existant within the next ten years. Even worse, was the decision to pick up Ian Perrie and Rhan Hooper in the pre season draft, two players who have produced close to nothing since moving to the club

So who is to blame for all these stupid and irrational movements. It is the eagles board, headed by chairman Dalton Gooding. He has disregarded any suggestions by the board members and fans, and has gone by what he thinks is correct, and because of his stupidity, this club is on the brink of extinction.
