We didn't play badly. We played well. Room for improvement though, definately. Could have had a couple of different players and a couple of others not fit. Man we need to find a way though - good team is the cola

When I made that comment, I thought we'd be playing Richmond at the MCG. But **** me, it's at Etihad Stadium! Unfortunately we won't get a chance to see how we stack up at the MCG against a good side until the finals. And yet Geelong play Richmond at the MCG when it is a Geelong home game!? The AFL seriously has some questions to answer regarding allowing interstate sides playing away games at the MCG. How many games do you guys get at the MCG this year? We get 2.

Let's face it, we are both good teams and either can win on the day. I certainly won't be rubbing my hands together in glee if we meet again come finals.

We get 2 at the G. Played Carlton in a scrappy wet affair, won. Next game at G is the Pies, takes on more significance after loss to Swans. We wanted to win SCG game to prove we were 'the real deal' (contrary to what our ladder position suggest) together with the Pies game, so the stakes just went up. Yes agree, it could be anyones game (Syd. vs. Wce) at the pointy end.

Gawd theres no ahame in admitting we need every man on deck to beat the swans - its not an excuse - they are a fkkn good team

for sure, it was just a nod at some of the more melty posts, remembering the swans also had key players out.
a good team has to play anywhere, anyhow, what's in front of them etc..we've done that mostly this season
#1 for a reason? but swans have our measure at this stage.
anyway 10 games to go, anything can happen (and probably will?)

Random thoughts on the Sydney game ;

8 free kicks Sydney 3 to Wce in the 3 rd quarter really killed us ..

Great effort by our guys to keep Sydney goalless for 2 Quarters the 1st and the last quarter ..

The Bye rd probably has a bit to do with us losing this game ..
