Could we offer anything to them for it?

thoughts?

I don't think we would be willing to offer them anything of great value to us. And I don't think they would want any of the players we'd be willing to offer.

To quote a good friend of mine.....

"You could, but would your leg still legally belong to you tomorrow?"

We'd never get value from that trade, they're in the throes of a rebuild and there is no such RFC lunacy that they don't need to recruit talented youth, we'd have to sacrifice something like an Edwards + Pick 6 and then we're just shooting ourselves in the foot because all we're after with our first pick is another gun midfielder.

We will still get a good player at pick 6. If we could upgrade some of our later picks that would be better.

They will want a star and that is wasting our time giving the fact we won't be giving any up, no doubt it's been thrown out there by Worsfold and the club hoping there is a disgruntled top player looking for a move. And they need one bad.

Nahas+Mcguane+pick 6 for pick 4!! this is totally fair
more so for west coast

Think about it..the awesome foursome.
Pick1 was Lids
Pick2 was Cotchin
Pick3 was Martin
Pick4 ??? the final piece of the puzzle!!

1. Deledio
2. Cotchin
3. Martin
4. Tambling

I'm not giving up a star of the RFC for a pick that may or may not be a star of the RFC.

Ridiculous to think we would want to give up a Rance , a Edwards and I'm sure your taking the piss RT with Foley just to upgrade pick 6 to 4.

Some of these suggestions are just too funny. Pick 6 will be a beauty

Yep. Agree with above.. We cannot satisfy WCE to take their pick 4.. Will end up with what we want at Pick 4 with Pick 6m(Gaff, Polec, Atley) more than likely... However, if you said Pick 12 (Harper, Lynch? - Not much talk about him) what could we offer GC then we have some bait...

Not taking the piss at all. He is 25 next month has near 100 games to his name and is about the only player we have that we could afford to lose which wouldn't hurt that much because of him already missing most of the last 18 months.

Just imagine for a second if we did offer him up for pick 4 and WC took it. We would walk into the draft with 4 & 6, meaning 2 of Gorringe Day Gaff Atley or Polec would be ours and all it would have cost is a player who has barely played for 18 months.

People often talk about the need for the club to make the tough decision, delisting Hislop, Thomson, McMahon & Polo isn't a tough decision it just has to be done, but making a decision that could pay off handsomely and cost a player that is much loved but injury plauged is.

The problem is there is once Foley comes back from injury our midfield improves out of sight again and I'm sure they will recruit some more fantastic kids with our other picks.

Foley's 2 or 3 games this year were exceptional. If he has an injury cloud over him that the club knows about and don't believe he can get back to full fitness then pull the trigger.

We'll also need Foley more and more once Tuck retires.

No way West Coast would swap pick 4 for Foley. Don't worry about it. We'll have to take the risk on Foley and hopefully he comes good.

NO, Foley at 25 has 7 years left in him and he should spend it at Richmond.

As for trading for pick 4 then Nahas + Tambling and our second rounder would be okay. Tambling would revel in the wide open spaces of Subi, it may just be the kick start he needs?

Wow Tambling who can be a gun but has only shown it in one season + Nahas a undersized decent small forward for pick 4. I would love for that to happen but seriously we would be lucky to get pick 20 for that deal.

I can see your point RT. Maybe, just maybe if it guaranteed us Day. Don't think WC will trade their first pick this year though.

foley + 3rd rounder for pick 4........................YES
rance + 2nd rounder for pick 4 ......................YES
tambling + 2nd rounder for pick 4 ...................YES
polo + pick 6 for pick 4...................................YES
1 of thurst,moore,mcguane + 2nd rounder .........YES

must do all we can to atleast try to get sam day offer the above to either west coast or gold coast to at least try to get this kid.

I think WC would laugh at every one of those deals.

No chance with any of them ecspeically Polo for a pick upgrade lol.

"Hey can we give you a guy languishing in the VFL who we will delist for an upgrade from 6 to 4?"
