Agree it will be very even over the ground, battle of the midfields will be the best to watch no doubt, weather permiting it will be a highly skilled game and very quick especially with the wide open spaces of Altona just hope the wind stays away.

Will it be compulsory viewing on Colt's behalf or a week off for some?. Will you be training on Saturday or a bit of a scratchy?.

No we will just train 3 days this week as we have been doing, but just step it up with the intensity, considering we have no game.
Viewing will be compusory for the coaching staff but i do expect most of the senior group will be there to have a look.
Hoppers are seem very confident......

arent we all getting carried away?? well done to hoppers who kicked heaps of goals against fresh air...did heights or wests actually care wat happened? all they cared about was not getting scratches, cuts or bruises for their footy trips...
the underlying fact here is that colts and spotswood will play in the Grand Final there is nothing surer. what a waste of time the next 3 weeks is...colts spotty grand final and i think this year colts will win it after 2 disapointing results in Grand Finals.

as for league medal danny jacobs, get ur mortgage on that.

That's it, it's a forgone conclusion. No point turning up on Saturday then.

Congratulations to Colt's and Spotty for making the granny:confused:.

Is you real name creative mind11. this is a forum with most participants not revealing there name.

What game did he play in and was it seniors or reserves

What about Lachie Mcghie for a roughie for the medal. Worth a mention - seems to be in the best each week

Huge chance for the Medal - looking forward to the ruck contests between he and Julier in the coming weeks....worth the admission right there.

ROCK07 - I thought it interesting that you thought Spotty had a more conventional forward setup. Molan is really the only tall then they rely on Hucker to play tall and small with the likes of Orchard/Dumbleton/Langlands/Pope to float around the packs and contest when on the ground. I thought they would be a different setup to most? I guess it has worked though....with Spotty having the highest points for this season. Thoughts?

Well, well, well. It does not surprise me but worth a comment. I hear (although second hand) that the sunshine boys were told about 2 weeks ago to stay off big footy. So with some time on my hands, had a look who had posted in the last 2 weeks. Sure there were some sunshine comments, but names i couldn't recognise. Which all but confirmed Albion up to their old tricks again. Isn't that right Blake (or Inka). Know who your mates are before you burn them. By the way Rock, Altona not really a happy hunting groung for big Julier. Have you thought of starting the big fella in the fwd pocket as an extra target?

What tricks CLUB7??

Hey Creative Mind 11, i think your wrong about the granny, Port will rest the first week and then go and play Hoppers or Spotty on a big ground at Chirnside Park that hasn't been rewarding for them for the past two seasons. I think i might go to the football and just see how things pan out. In my opinion Port Colts resting is not an advantage. At this level and time of the year momentum and fitness are only maintained through playing and a week in football is a long time, i think its premature to dismiss Hoppers at this early stage.

LOL nice try for deflecting the so called pressure, your a hoppers person, maybe even a player.
It was a good effort none the less, looking forward to see how much hoppers have improved over the last 6 weeks.

GOOD POINT, last season we won after having the week off then lost the grand final after leading for 95% of the game, we all know there were some dodgy decisions but spotty are a very impressive unit and last year clearly had a superior list. So at the end of the day let's just see how it all unfolds. At the end of the day the best team will win the GF!!

40 goals is impressive in anyone's language but hardly points towards a reversal of fortunes against Spotty. A relegated side with no chance whatsoever and thinking about mad Monday sums it up completely. No real accountability to speak of, especially on a huge ground against a fit, dare I say, contender. I suspect Hoppers won't look at it as anything more than a training session.

As for Saturday's games.

Spotswood V Hoppers
I'm tipping Spotty in a tight one. 3 goals max. Spotty to get clear with a few minutes to go. Beazer will play a pearler which will fire up the Spotty Mafia! haha!
I'm also tipping that one Spotty supporter will be told to shut up on numerous occasions. All attempts to silence the supporter in question will fail, dismally!;)

Sunshine V Albion
Both sides to look at the size of the Altona ground and let fly with a huge Far Canal ala Rock. Haha.
Sunshine to get over line by 2 goals. A last man standing affair that will be won by a master coaching move, not by Toka, but by D. Frazer.
The result won't matter much as the winning side will be too stuffed to do any real damage the week later. It's called the curse of the 'toy footy grounds.'

spotty been lucky

There are 5 teams still remaining in the finals and people are prdeicting port/hoppers or port/spotty grand final. dont forget about Sunshine and Albion. Albion have beaten Spotty and Sunshine have beaten Hoppers this year, so it is not all clear cut. things must go your way to make it to the big one and if you are still alive you're still a chance.

Port have been the best performed team all year and deserve to be favourites. Spotty 2 games ahead of Hoppers so will go into this week pretty confident as Kelly said they have been preparing for 4 weeks now to face Hoppers.

No offence to Albion or Sunshine, both of these teams have a few injuries to some key players, at full strength both teams are capable of upsets but as it sits now, neither team will get past the second week.

Maybe someone from spotty or hoppers could run through some key match ups for us
WHO WILL PLAY ON
SPOTTY HOPPERS
Molan Mitchell
theodore murphy
o'keefe thomas
dumbleton beazley
kelly czepil
mangan?? clonan
montebello montebruno
hucker smith

Obviously mcghie and jensen will go head to head.
Maybe i have left some key players out???
