Sean Sheep said:Great original post, agree with a few of your points, however I'm not entirely convinced that opposition teams have got us 'worked out'. In most of the games that we have lost this year I think it was more about us playing terribly and letting the opposition win (reasons for which one can only speculate).
I still believe that we can beat any team in the competition when we are playing to our potential and it is obvious that there are issues amongst the playing group as to why we aren't doing that.
I'm still keeping the faith as I think that if the players can rekindle that team spirit (and lets face it, they are grown men, surely they can overcome their issues!) they can still go far this season...
I realise that we have been terrible and haven't been playing to our potential but I think the reason for it is that teams have worked out how to ensure that we can't.
It's no surprise that when you talk to Collingwood supporters it's all about how well they played and how they denied Geelong the ability to win the ball and run and create space, etc. When you talk to Geelong supporters it's a case of "we're not running", "we've got no heart", "they're soft", "Bomber must go", etc. One side thinks they won the game, the other thinks they lost it.
A big part of not playing well is the opposition not allowing you to. I reckon that's what is happening to us to a large extent.
