yeah... but what good is being able to travel if you can't beat RICHMOND at home?
then again.. i guess most of the top sides this year are interstate... therefore you guys should have a good chance in the finals this year provided you make it... what do yuo have to do to do that?

Exactly, we won't have to play Richmond in the finals!

actually we are the second team to win in perth. We are the first to beat West coast in perth. Another team (not sure who) beat fremantle over there.

But anyway, well done boys. A fantastic effort

Port beat Freo over there. but still we managed to silence subi. (seriously Neale could have come up with something better than silencing Subi.) LOL but twas a great game. esp when u have real money placed on it.

I'm not sure where anyone claimed we where the first team to win at Subiaco. The first Melbourne team.. yes, The first interstate team to beat West Coast at Subi.. yes. But I don't think anyone suggested we where the first fullstop.

Well done to the boys on a great win.

When the Triple M commentator said "Two minutes to go, 12 points in front, Melbourne should win this...", my heart was in my mouth. "Don't jinx us!" I shouted at the radio. Sure enough, mere seconds after he said that, Phil Matera kicked the goal that brought the difference down to 6. But we were able to hang on!

Another heart-in-mouth moment: when Powell seemed hurt after taking his mark. He's only just come back from suspension - we don't want to lose him again! But he's OK, according to the H-S. Whew!

Going by previous form (losing most games you'd expect us to win, or at least be competitive in), I wouldn't say any of our last 3 games are necessarily 'gifts', especially next week.

Maybe Bracksy should supply those heart defribulators at all Melbourne games - the Dees always seem to give this fan heart palpitations!

Well that's 3 games in a row decided by 6 or less points, and just before Powell took THAT mark it was beginning to get to me! .

We were just so switched on in the 2nd Quarter, hard at the ball, slick skills & gallons of run. A very gutsy last quarter effort too, not always convincing but very satisfying.

It was a high quality game & one we had to win.

I stayed up till all hours of the morning to tape the game, but I also watched the first half. I will tell you this - when switched on, we can beat any team in the league, PERIOD! In that 2nd qtr we looked absolutely awesome.

We can welcome back Ellis and march on to the finals. The final hurdle IMO is the Doggies this week - we win, and we will cause havoc come September!

P.S - Clint Bizzell is the MAN! He has been a sensational pick up for us!
