Boy Im sick to death of being particapnts in games called fantastic, called games of the season , games of the decade, of course, when we lose.
To me it matters not a jot, not a micron , not at all, period that we had all of of our spine out, that our Captain was out ,(AGAIN) , what matters is we had enough of the ball , enough talent on the field to win and we didnt. Losing sucks a big one and really I dont care why or how good the game was to those dobbing , geeks on the game review. We lose = its crap game.
Watchin' Bomber in the post match and I think he might agree with me . "Some guys are clearly in a bit of trouble". Mmm who do you think he was are talkin' about Mr Johnson. Dog you are in the side ,playing with a prematurely gained reputation, you have done little to impress me that you have learnt from your previous misdamenors, I wonder if we would be better off with less talent and more bread and butter. Man when are you going to learn that not every goal has to be on the highlight reel.
Mr Lonergan, If thats the best you can do after 3 years on the list then I say pack your bags. Dropping chest marks is your fortee but if you cant out mark Scott West then what the hell are you in the side for?
Mr Ablett, N. You must decide if you are going to succed at this big adventure. You have the talent but do you believe it.Yes I know you are in the side too early but it takes not talent to tackle hard and hurt players. You are as big as Bull , next time you come in the side please commit to contributing in the areas without the ball.
Ok , Im ticked. Im nasty. Why . Arnt we supposed to be the seasoned side now. Arnt we the guys who years ago got the sand kicked in our face but ahh , now we are the bigger and stronger and we can do the kickin , cant we . Not against the Bullies we cant.
Look was it all bad. No. Ottens showed he is , without doubt the most talented ruckman in the club.In fact his lack of fittness probably contributed to our loss. Then again , he should have dominated , shouldn't he have. Just who was he up against. The thing I wonder is why couldnt we make more of his work in there. Do we really have the right mix in our engine room. West is just awesome. To me he is the most underrated player in the comp, how may B&F's has he won?.He just kills us , every , single time.
Another positive was Callan, another tough nut. Has every played on the ball, be nice to see him go for some tough inside stuff.It was good to have Wojo back as well.
