How hard should we try to get this guy if he is available and willing? Seems to be a prodigious talent but very inconsistent. He is a freak but if Matthews can't get the best out of him, I doubt that we can...

we should do everything we can to try and nail this guy as the number 1 pick in the PSD
I'd rather not pick him up with the number 1 pick in the PSD, surely there would be some other players ahead of him in the consistency department.
At the end of the day, the Tigers finished last. Dead last. They were the worst team in the AFL. This is one of the little gifts the AFL world gives us for failing miserable, and I don't understand why we should use that gift on a player whom firstly doesn't have a solidified position on the ground as of yet, and secondly who is inconsistent. Surely you'd want to pick up a guy who can improve your list from day 1, and do it 22+ times in 22+ games. Not a guy who may or may not improve your list, and may only decide to play like an AFL player for a third of the games in a season. Give me someone who can contribute.

So would I, but my point is that there should be (hopefully), a better, more consistent, more skillful player coming into the PSD which fits a greater need, and that is more worthwhile of the number 1 pick.
Earth to that place where reality has been lost. It is the PSD...who do imagine will be there for the much prized No1 pick? You can be fairly sure players of his class will not be there. Unless he told Leigh he was an over the hill hack who had lost the plot.

Hopefully the Bummers do all the work to get him in the PSD and then we come waltzing in with pick 1 and say J. Brennan thank you very much.
