I have lost the hearing in my right ear already. That was within 30 seconds of plugging a guitar into it.
My first amp when I was about 18 was a 35 watt Peavey backstage plus (great little solid state combo). At 19 I traded up to a 100 watt JCM800 stack - that thing was a beast, I could shake things off shelves with it. I wish I still had it - they’re worth a fortune now and that tone and power was just outstanding. It’s also one of the main reasons I’m such a shitty guitarist - I just found cathartic release through the power on tap and didn’t focus on practice or technique.

Next was a Fender Super 60 - 60 watt valve combo - it was as loud as stink too.

Got rid of everything and decided last year after 20+ years of not playing to take up guitar again. I bought a sweet Telecaster and a Boss Katana 100 Mk2 - can dial back the wattage to 50 or 0.5 watts which is still pretty loud and can create all manner of guitar tones.
