What defines arrogant?

Well since this word keeps bopping up I decided to look it up this is what it says: Having or showing an exaggerated opinion of one own's importance, merit, ability etc.

Now Tell me How are Essendon arrogant? Do we show an exaggerated opinion of one's own importance? do we?

Someone (and I'm not saying who) accused me of being Arrogant because I was planning a celebration party. I bought drinks, food, and heaps of other stuff; why? because I was confident Confident that we were going to win not that I was arrogant I was not showing any exaggerated opinion on anything except for the fact that I was Confiedent in my team. Over-Confident? Maybe. But the Fact is I am allowed to be Confident I always have when it has come to Essendon. In 1997 we didn't win alot of games. but every game we lost i always said we will get up next time we will beat 'em next time. So stop ya Bomber Bashing and stop with this "arrogant"

In saying you should have won the 1999 and 2001 flags you are arrogant.
Brisbane had just as much chance of doing it. Had they lost they would have been bitterly dissapointed but not getting the knives out to spill loyal servants and players.

No we wern't lucky. We deserved to be in the GF. We were one of the two best sides in the compeition.
