on friday night, i watched the crows flood back to our centre, and centre half-forward line. Time after time the saints would bring the ball into the centre through aerial kicks, that would often result in a 1 on 3 contest in favour of the crows. So, did the saints realise this and try to run the ball through the middle? NO! Even i could see it sitting in the stands!

I think Grant Thomas is the best thing that has happened to the saints in a while. his fresh approach with young players and smart team-binding activities such as the end of year training camps has been fantastic. However, maybe he needs a "play man" someone who can change the stats. but remember, not all of it is thomas' fault. there is at least 5 other people in that box who should be helping.

Our play man is Austinn Jones. However this year he hasn't been great except for one or two games mostly due to the fact that we have missed our ball winners, Powell, Thompson, Hamill, Harvs etc.

When jones does have the ball however he is faced with a huge problem where he looks up and sees no one moving up on our half forward or wing. Riewoldt and Hamill are usually the ones that take this lead however I think riewoldt is struggling at the moment, don't know if it is confidence, fitness or if he is carrying an injury. When Hamill comes back it will be a huge boost in this area as the well as the physical area.

Hang in there kids.

Geelong had to move heaven and earth - and a seven goal final term - to knock over our reserves, while West Coast can't win in Melbourne.

Once we get our injuries in order, we'll see us have a real crack.
