If we were going to target a ruckman that was ready to play, I'd want to look at someone who has played an AFL game, rather than Meesen.
I'd look at one of Wood or Charman from Brisbane (you'd figure we might be able to shake one of them loose), or failing that, maybe Brad Moran from the Kangaroos as a slightly cheaper option.
But other than picking up one ready-to-contribute ruckman from somewhere (maybe even a mature ruckman from the VFL who could contribute right away, if we can't trade for one) and a young ruck prospect, every other new arrival at the club next year should be a midfielder.
