What games do you still kick yourself missing?

Quick idea for an offseason topic. Title says it all really. What Swans game did you miss on TV or miss going to that will always haunt you for one reason or another? Perhaps it was a great game, something special happened in the game or a great moment in Swans history.

I've been pretty lucky that I've been to as many great moments of the Swans over the last 10 or so years as possible. But the one game that will always haunt me for missing it is....Sydney vs Hawthorn this year at the SCG. Not being there to see Lewis' first goal will always have me wondering what it was like in the crowd as the ball sailed through the posts. I love footy crowds when they're up and excited, it gives me chills when the crowd is really excited and loud and as I said, this will haunt me for a long time.

and i was bummed i missed that game when goodes kicked 8 against freo and Bevan took that game saving mark...i was up in queensland mustering

Missed the 1st scg home game of the year against richo this year...had a best frineds 21st you should have seen the excuses i used 2 try and get out of it...she 1st wanted 2 have the game on the 1st round against the Saints i cant believe she actually moved it for me haha

Missed Goodes' 8 goal game with a Birthday party, missed the Jack-winner against West Coast game because I was sick, missed EVERY good win this year... Didn't even stay up to watch Jetta's first goal...

2005 grand final, I went to the bar to buy the maximum amount of alcohol allowed just before one of the breaks to avoid the line, camera went on to my group of mates when I was gone, one holding a small bloods banner, they are all on the official dvd, Im not... Also if I had my time again would have stayed more sober for the game instead of starting so early...

Wow how long did it take after the goal went through for you to work out what happened.

Seemed like a while, everyone was jumping up and down so I thought it was a free or something and everyone on the field was still running around. Still had a bit of time to jump around when I worked out what had happened.

missing the 05 SF... had work, what was worse was i had it recorded & had a couple of mates come over to watch it again, & they made me think the swans had lost so i was only half watching it thinking it was a garbage game...kinda ruined the experience, but what an amazing game...

That's probably the only one from the top of my head, the others I've missed have been really dour games or horrible losses.

swans-cats semi 2005 as i had tix, man how i wish i could have been there within the atmosphere as davis kicked the goal to put us up........really considering i live in melbourne, all other games in sydney i wish i could have been there, otherwise i try to make most melbourne games

I'm not even sure if these games were ever available on TV back then, but it still annoys me that I missed them. I'm still pretty bitter.

I genuinely can't think of any.

There was only one game this year I didn't watch live - the loss against Melbourne as I was driving back from the snow. Very happy not to have seen it.

Beyond that, the last game I can actually remember missing was 06 against Collingwood at ANZ. We got smashed as usual, so no big deal.

I agree, but I was only 8 back then and all I remember is the umpire bouncing the ball and Stephen Doyle failing and the siren going when we were just outside the forward 50.

I was overseas for most of the season, so I couldn't even watch games on TV, just shitty radio streams each week...
