... Michael Gardiner though trading?

How would people feel about this?

Gardiner IMHO seems to be the type of player we so desperately need! French isn't getting any younger, and sadly our next replacement for the ruck is a pick 70 odd in Chris Bryan.

Gardiner could also help solve our KPP woes! I can remember him being one of the most dominant players in 2003 but unfortunately a few injuries has seen him set back since. However, the Wizard Cup GF certainly reminded everyone of his potential.

Perhaps we could trade Lappo together with some picks or a fringe player to WC in exchange for Gardiner?

Not interested.........too many off field problems and extremely injury prone. WC won't be trading him anyway. He is still in their forward line plans.

We should not be trading away any draft picks, given our lack of quality youth. Happy to entertain trading players, but not draft picks at the moment.

Some of our current players have had their own off field problems too.

Cox, Seaby, McDougall, Lynch, and Smith make Gardiner somewhat superfluous to WCE's needs.

Of course Picks 1 and 4 are off limits, however, surely trading a third round selection wouldn't be too bad?

IMHO the ruck department is severely lacking. Something must be done about this in the off-season.

WTTF got it in 1

injury prone
baggage
inconsistent
IMO an all round TOOL

we have a young list, we don't need to be adding any more players with questionable characters.

see laurie angwin & karl norman (i have no doubt laurie had a negative effect on karl's career)

pick 70 has little relevance if he can play or not and if he is good enough
josh fraser was pick 1
james hird pick 70 odd

McDougal & Lynch still haven't proven anything............Smith is coming off a knee reco.........trust me, they still want and need Gardiner.

5th & 6th round you'd maybe trade, but I certainly wouldn't be trading 1 through 4 this year.

Would his 'connections' be okay with him heading to Lygon Street.

Don't want another 'Benji' incident with the don now do we. :)

That was the only time Sunshine gang was beaten by the Carlton Crew last year. :)
That's sounds like Collingwodd talk. But it was Grand Final. :)

Although Michael is in the pockets of the bikie gangs. He should get a leave pass. :)
