I like Paul Roos but had to laugh at this part of his article in the Herald Sun reviewing the Grand Final:

"..what I do know is that every premiership team will have to tick three boxes: 1. A full and healthy list to pick from. Collingwood had no injuries throughout the year and even looked a lot healthier than the Saints on Saturday.
2. Your star players having outstanding seasons. Swan, Pendlebury, Didak, Shaw, Maxwell, O'Brien, and Thomas all had exceptional years.
3. A depth of talent that relies on you quickly developing young players."

So in other words, to win a premiership you need...lots of good players playing well!:o

A premiership team needs players that have enormous amounts of class and skill. In 05 and 06 we only had a few players with enormous amount of class and skill and the rest we simply good players, a premiership team need more player with class and skill than just being good.

And a whole of of LUCK.

- Finish in the top 4, 5th to 8th is almost like missing the finals these days.

- Win most of the close games

- Beat Collingwood
