Not a bad side, just shows the draft is a lottery. It would tough to squeeze these guys into 92.5% but I anm guessing we would be winning most games so membership, sponsorship and crowds would be healthy.

Why do you torture us so?

I see Klienman is in trouble for giving the bird to the Adelaide supporters on Saturday night. He can finally do something well and the AFL wants to fine him for it!

Don't worry Mr Walker I was torturing myself as I typed.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing but you must admit the Kleiman draft era was a disastrous one.

I think Doc or Old School went through this already on another thread about a couple of months back

Dont judge to quickly on that one.Have a bit of faith in Jordy if he comes through (which I have no doubt he will) he is going to be a hell of alot more damaging a player than Kerr and almost anyone for that matter.Kerr is a top player but Mcmahons got a much bigger upside IMO.

As far as 2000 is concerned. I think McMahon is a great choice and wouldn't hand him back for Kerr.
Yeah exactly:) Just realised you posted the exact same thing as me.

The jury is still out on young Jordy as far as I am concerned

I dont think hes put a foot wrong since round 2 last season.Done something every time hes been given a chance IMO.I think most (99%) lump him in as being uncommited because of that one soft effort in round 2 last season rather than actually watching him and seeing the improvement.I watch him closely every game and he just doesnt shirk an issue at all anymore. His possesions are twice as damaging aswell because of his pace and ball carrying.I would take 15 of Jordys possesions over 30 scrappy, clanger, mungs of Guidos anyday.

lol - torture for sure

McMahon has a lot of potential but in hindsight we could have bypassed him for a different type of player considering we are constantly criticised for having too many skinny skilful quick guys that can't tackle.
I agree with you Old School, jury is still out. Daniel Kerr is developing much quicker. Shaun Burgoyne went at 12 in that draft and he is also developing faster.
I hope Jordon proves me wrong but at this stage the club could have made another choice.

Like Dogboy said, McMahon has been making an effort to improve his game. He has been tackling hard, managing to bring players to ground, resulting in a ball up. I don't think you have to have the body of Hahn to tackle if you are quick and have a good technique....you don't even have to be quick...remember Libba!

I'd swap him for Kerr in a heart beat. Kerr is already a great player and will only get better. I think Jordy will become a good player but Kerr is a safer bet

I agree. Like Hitler, bin Laden or Billy Ray Cyrus, Jordan is remembered for a single act which appalled all who witnessed it. He has improved greatly over the last twelve months and is on track to develop into a top line player for us. It is too early to say if Kerr would have been the better choice.

It works both ways. We got Guido and even Smurf much later than we should have been able too. We got Lindsay in the 40's and he is far better than that

We have done well to get the young guys we have. We haven't been blessed with the sort of picks StKilda have, and have still got great young players

I certainly agree Kerrs a better player at the moment(by a fair bit) but my stance is that if Jordy develops to his potential (which IMO he will) then jordy will be superior in my view.

Agree Egg,Lindsay,Murph and Guido were all bargains and astute selections. Hargrave too.
Just wish Clayton had secured just one more tall player but as you said they are harder to find late in the draft.
