So what the process? Does Sheedy walk in today and pack his office and go? What happens in the interim? We may be without a coach for 6 weeks. Who sets up the individual planning process until then? There is talk of assistants leaving as well. Who makes decisions on list management? Trade options? Interested to know how a club operates for that time.

preliminary list assessment is done by several people at the club, not just the coach. So Egan, Knights and Dodoro will begin individual player reports. a lot of "specialist" positions now exist within clubs, and the head coach is more of a collator of all these different area's of information. Remember that 2/3rd's of the list will be contracted for next year, so in some ways the new coach will have his hands tied as to who get's cut anyway.

Thanks Saladin
I understand this and I presume the fitness coaches design routines to maitain a fitness base. However its a huge void for setting up 2008. We could potentially go to the trade discussion day without a coaches input. Take a player like Kep. One candidate might see him as a running link player, another a key forward, another a potential trade. What happens with players now may preempt the decision of who may be the next coach and his ideas.
