Finally got home after lunch (been asleep all arvo). Virus caused the fever & vomiting. Breathing was apparently croup even though he's out of the usual age bracket. Patient is home on the couch watching videos.

That's good news. If there's one place I hate being more than almost anywhere else it is in emergency/hospital with my kids suffering. Not only are you worried sick about your own kids, but you get to witness others going through there own emotional hell during the experience (and some way worse off than yourself).

It's a necessary evil of parenting I guess.

The emergency room can be an amusing place at times. A few years back I was waiting in the emergency room for most of the night, at about 4am a young man walked in and approached the nurses station, when the nurse asked him what the issue was he said he had been having 'really smelly Diarrhea' - he proceeded to sit down and go to sleep, luckily for us, no sign of Diarrhea, really smelly or otherwise.

But the ads haven't displayed in the browser. I happen to click a nano second after the ads display (hence moving the "Essendon" link further down the page) and I find that I'm all of a sudden looking for real Russian/Chinese beauties. I wonder what people have thought if they look at my screen as my, the ladies they put on their home page are certainly attractive and they ain't displayed in small thumbnails either.

Thankfully everything on the pages is decent but still, it can be a little embarrassing.

I'm getting sick of all these ads using 'The Ecstasy of Gold' or a bad rip off of it because they can't afford the rights and/or having some sort of Mexican standoff. I've seen two in the past few minutes for Chemist Warehouse and the Toyota Hilux using this, and there's been plenty of them in the past that have done it too.

Foxtel iQ. Watched the first quarter of the game last night then hit record at the break as we were heading out for dinner. Get home and the box has somehow gone back to the start of the game to record. Okay, mildly annoying but no biggie. Fast forward through the first quarter (the fact there's no block skip option is another thing that shits me incidentally), start watching from the second quarter and the recording finishes half way through the third quarter. I go back to the live feed and the game has finished and the replay is halfway through the first quarter.

The box is always recording what you're watching (hence live rewind). This allows you to record a show from the start that you've been watching. If you changed the channel and back again at 1/4 time it would have recorded from that point. Not sure what happened with the rest of it, perhaps a clash?
