Richmond and Hawthorn have had players and their results compared over the last 2 years after both clubs celaned house at the end of 2004. Now heading into the 3rd year of their rebuilds what should their fans and the football world in general be expecting of them.

I personally think Richmond are a much better chance to play finals than the Hawks. Better coach and just look more ready to make a move. Hawks are a possibility but unlikely, probably finish 10th. In around 2 years they should start to make a strong push I think.

Brisbane
Essendon
Collingwood

Should all finish higher than Richmond and Hawthorn.

I don't think that either of them will make the finals. The higher either of the teams will be ninth. They are still too young to make it, they kids have a develop more and they will be pretty inconsistant this year.

You can expect Richmond to break the mediocrity tag :)

That is all.

Top 6 is a chance if Polak, Brown and Richo all fire.

If Deledio, Tambling and Foley all get close to their potential then we are a great chance to make finals as our midfield will go from very poor in 2006 to very good in 2007. A fit Coughlan feeding Lids and Blinger the ball will make the world of difference.

Schulz has had 4 seasons (and a lot of injuries) and I know many who are 100% confident he is capable of being a dominant FF for us for a long time. This could be the start of big things for Sarge, with a gun midfield maturing we will have a gun KP Forward with 80% goal accuracy.... that is some good ********.

Midfield is everything. If Meyer, White, Polo etc step up and we win more ball in the centre than the opposition then we will win a hell of a lot of games. Our forward line is looking very good, especialy depth wise. So if our midfield can keep the ball pushing forward then it won't expose our key weakness (defence).

Richo, Brown, Pettifer, Schulz, Kingsley... depth key players such as Hughes and Riewoldt... one of the best crumbers in the league in Krakouer... our forward line is a force. They proved it by kicking 21+ goals three weeks in a row I guess. Just need the midfield to deliver!!

We'll be aiming to sneak into the 8, but all in all, we'll just want to improve on the 2006 season with less beltings and more consistency in our week by week performances.

Should all finish higher than Richmond and Hawthorn.

Sydney - yes
Adelaide - yes
Saints - yes
Geelong - didn't last year.
Melbourne - yes
Bulldogs - yes
Port - Possibly. Depends, was last year a blip? I don't think so but it could.
Brisbane - yes
Essendon - NO!
Collingwood - Possibly Didak is out for a while and that hurts them. IMO they will slip.

So I'll take six, but Geelong, PA, Essendon and Collingwood are in no way certainties to finish above us.
