Clontarf Academy? that's that excuse for a school that is grossly over funded and claims all the credit for a few indigenous possible AFL recruits without acknowledging the role played by their respective WAFL Clubs? not to mention being a nice little earner for Greedy Gerard. By the way do you know if they have managed to build showers and change rooms yet for the students? Given the gross amount of funding they receive it should've been done years ago.

I have yet to see them not acknowledge any imput from any WAFL club.

But considering that most of the kids that enter the program are too young to play WAFL senior or seconds it is only fair that the Academy takes a reasonable amount of credit for their success.

Gerard is on a salary. That is hardly being greedy is it??

Which acadamy is lacking facilities???

There are 6 of them throughout W.A.

If they are, may I suggest you throw in a few bucks to sponsor a worthy cause.

No I don’t admit that it would be easier to deal with someone because you knew what team they followed in fact I fail to see any relevance at all but if it helps you I follow South Fremantle.

I can assure you that I don’t need to access the Clontarf website to know what goes on there and I am aware of all their Sponsors that Gerrard has sucked in, most of whom are only involved so that they can be seen as good corporate citizens doing their bit for the indigenous cause. I’ll tell you what you wont find on their website, any information on how much funding they get and how it’s spent or how much is spent on wages and perks for Gerrard and his cronies.

Tell me where you have ever seen or read any acknowledgement by Neesham of the role some of the WAFL Clubs have played in the football development of some of those he claims credit for.

Well that is your right. But if you were an AFL supporter I was hopeful of pointing out a player that your club had drafted who had been through the academy.

But I am happy to unreservedly apologise for any offence you may have taken from my comments.

You seem to be the expert on this and you also seem to have a very large axe to grind in regards to Clontarf.

I would invite you to publically disclose on this forum any information of any illegal or immoral activity that is conducted within the organisation.

But what I will say is this:

1.) Clontarf is a fully transparent, non profit organisation that is INDEPENDENTLY AUDITED ANNUALLY.
2.) Large corporations and government departments DO NOT continue to sponsor shady and poorly managed groups.
3.) The football world as a whole, would be a much poorer place if facilities such as Clontarf ceased to exist. A lot of these aboriginal kids may never have had the chance to play in the bigtime without Clontarf.

Just a quick question!!

Is this about Neesham?? Or is this about Clontarf??

I couldn't be bothered searching for quotes where Neesham has publically acknowledged a WAFL club.

The point is that most of these kids would never had made it to a WAFL club in the first place without the academy.

Of course they play a major part in there development.
Be happy you had the chance to play the kid when you did.

The real acknowledgement comes when the WAFL club gets a nice fat cheque from the AFL club that drafted him, and further cheques as the kid makes his debut in the seniors etc..

When the draft is finished the WAFL club is acknowledged as the kids club. Not Clontarf.
