IF the dockers win this weekend will it change any of the opinions from all the knockers who ran amoc earlier in the year calling for CC's head, The Colonel to go, the Board to be sacked, Sandilands to be dropped, etc?

Georgey Grizzles apparently said he would resign from 6PR if the Dockers make the 8. Fair enough.

have you ever stopped to think that abit of the supporter pressure/media pressure is the reason for turning the season around?!

I doubt it. I think it is the return to form and return back from injuries of some key players.

kidstyler are you George G?? How can the media take credit for form revival. A rediculous notion. The players can take the credit, and some of the credit can goto the coach. Most of the credit can be attributed to our injury list.

no im not...

i didnt say that the media/supporter that bagged the club should take credit for the rival. im just saying that these people shouldnt do backflips for saying:

calling for CC's head, The Colonel to go, the Board to be sacked, Sandilands to be dropped....

saying these things lets the club know what the fans think. and i think you will remember the mass exits at subi earlier in the season.

we had played well with injuries, melbourne @ the MCG and the cats @ skilled (where we had never won b4)! and in these games both teams at the time were "finals contenders". i think the cats were flag favourites!

but hide behind the injuries by all means! ;)

We could win every game for the rest of the year and i still wouldn't rate CC as a great coach. The simple fact remains is that we have a top 4 list and there is a real chance we will finish 9th again this year, and what happens if we lose all 3 remaining games..... it will go from rosy to riot again, we still remain on a knife edge which could go anyway

Supporters pressure to an extent, but also I think the players have notably bonded together a lot better over the last month or so and the team is playing with a better attitude and players development and form (Sandilands, JCarr, Headland) have come in leaps and bounds over the last few weeks.

I don't need to stop and think this sort of carp; people like George bring it up in a feeble attempt to cover their lack of credibility. Let me see. Could it be;

a) the swinging supporters and media which have affected the teams performance? Or
b) getting key players back into the team? Or
c) that a team which has undergone significant structural change is now capable of enacting the team plan?

I never quite get statements about hiding behind injuries. Who doesn't think that Glen MacGrath being injured won't damage Australia's chances of winning a test? Who wouldn't think that if Dean Cox was injured and not playing on Friday that we would have a significant (and potentially match winning) advantage tomorrow night? Who wouldn't think that if Pavlich wasn't playing for the rest of the year that our fortunes wouldn't be significantly reduced in any game that was played?

Well Bell, Haddrill, Carr and MacPharlin are all in a category that to me means that if they aren't playing for us, I'd think twice about tipping them. If all were out, most other teams would be a chance against us. Then add in others of the likes of Walker and Hayden, who are replaceable but still important and option b) is looking conclusive.

the season hasn't finished yet and we havent won at least 12 games either so maybe we wait till then.
i f i am wrong so be it , BUT are the people who said if we don't make the 8 this year we should remove CC stand up or will they just say oh we won 5 or 6 in a row we are going allright......hmm we shall see.

Or will they remember that CC said that we would challenge for the flag in 2006, and think we are reasonably placed to do that?
