Whats a decent desktop cost?

Probably have one of these threads every week, I am sorry for that.

However, I have had enough of laptops, they piss me off way to much, basically that cant handle my abuse.

I don't play computer games so all it will be used for is doing uni work so will need to be able to handle Office 2010 and be able to browse the net.

I have no idea when it comes to specs, hard drive wont need to be enormous as I don't really download anything.

So how much am I looking at having to spend?

Check out the basic PC build. Create a system at http://www.pccasegear.com/ with the parts recommended and have it shipped to your door.

Should easily get change from $700. And that includes keyboard, mouse and 23 inch monitor. Which can always be taken out if you already have them.

Hey if you want to buy anything thats computer related go to centrecom they never overprice compared to other retail stores and they know what there doing. Great value for money.

It doesn't cost much to go to a more than capable machine for so little these days.

The cost of a box only nowadays is dirt cheap, couple that with Win7 home and you have a sweet liitle unit without throwing much money around....

That is of course unless you wish to join the elitist and buy something white, "I must have it" and trendy for twice the price that is
