Another game, another crucifixion of Farmer and Medhurst by the maggots. Another couple of unbelievable 'intepretations' that only seem to happen to a select few players in the league.

Good coaches stick up for their players. Why does Connolly continue to put up with this sh*t week in week out? Is he so spineless that Andy D scares him off with the threat of a piddly fine?

Maybe just maybe the fremantle football club has had enough of fines and punishments from the AFL, and is doing things by the books, addressing these concerns to the head of umpiring formally.

It's just a thought ...

And by gee, isn't that working beautifully.

Nothing else to pin on CC this week Rob ;)

Perhaps, if the club do perceive a problem, they will approach the umpiring committee through the proper channels for clarification, rather than through the media.

You telling me that it doesn't give you the sh*ts that guys like Malthouse and Sheedy can give the media a couple of quotes which ensures immediate action regarding perceived injustices while our forwards continue to get a raw deal week in week out?

And you honestly thing that 'going through the proper channels' works? It hasn't up till now. What makes you think that's going to change?

Earlier in the season a lot was said about having this approach.
ie. Have winge.
Remember the bombers game 3 umpires went back to the seconds and we got some bad decisions the next week against hawks.

I'm not in favour of public umpire bashing from our Club. it usaully results in worse treatment.

leave the sooking up the sooks.

Do you seriously believe that Freo forwards are more hard done by than any other team in the comp

Unforunately Wiz is always going to have a hard time and CC having a public whinge isn't going to make it better. Meddy could do himself a favour by shutting his mouth when things don't go the way he wants.

Sure, like any supporter I get frustrated when I see free kicks go unrewarded, but I can guarantee there would be a lot of supporters having a go at CC if he campaigned this issue through the media in a Sheedy/Malthouse fashion.

I loved it when CC was more vocal in the media, but it just put pressure on his position due to "supporters" calling for him to pull his head in

Another game, and another so-called supporter crucifying the club and coach. Good supporters stick up for their club. Good supporters support their coach. Why does we continue to put up with this sh*t week in week out? Get a life

Nice reply newbie. I've missed exactly 3 home games in 11 years. I'm just sick of the sh*t we cop 3 out of every 4 weeks.

BTW, i'll be in Adelaide in 2 weeks. Will you? My apologies for not being a good supporter.

I can see where Rob is coming from, why doesn't CC vent his spleen like Grumpy Mick and get a better deal for Wiz and Cookie especially.

Unfortunately CC will be seen as whinging (ala Woosh on Judds tagging), CC will get heaps over it. Hopefully the club will have been banging on the AFL's door on Monday with a tape and a letter requesting an investigation, that is the correct channel.

Thanks for calling me a "newbie" Rob. Haven't been called anything like that for probably 40 odd years. And being a member since the club began I won't have any reservations about adding my own opinion (not that it is worth anything more than anyone elses).

A couple of pet hates for me from other coaches are the carping they come up with. malthouse is pretty much top of that list; plus their President for a bonus yawn. Can you believe the tripe that he has come out with in response to his recent fine. Get over it; you can't bag the umpires if you are a coach.

In general I think we do alright from the umpires. Didn't get a great run with them last game, and Wiz seems to cop a blanket policy from them about no free kicks. BUT he does stage, as does Medhurst. There are far worse in other teams, but if I was an umpire I would be sus of players who continually stage for free kicks.

PS I can't remember seeing Cookie ever staging for a free, and how his head has stayed on I've got no idea. The Monster has no fear, takes as much as he dishes out, and just keeps getting on with the job.
