Just Wondering When Do You Think Melbourne Will Win A Premiership?

If we don't win one in the next 5-6 years with Sylvia, McLean and co. all peaking, I don't know when we'll ever win one.

I doubt we will ever win as the players don't have a clue about the clubs culture, or coaches and perhaps the management either. There is no pride in the club... I doubt to most playing or running the club, they probably wouldn't know when we won our last premiership or who was playing back in our golden era.

And if the management can sit back happy with where we ended up three years in a row, I guess the answer to you question is clear.

But I think you're severley lacking in the big men department...

Not including Neitz & White (due to age), apart from Miller there's noone else coming through. I just think that Rivers, Dunn and Bate are more 3rd talls rather than pure KPP (but very very good 3rd talls at that!) Havent seen Newton, so I cant comment on him.

Jamar is a very solid ruckman, but where the hell has Paul Johnson been? And you delisted Smith as well.

Its good that you picked up 2 talls in this draft! I honestly thought you were going to go for 4 talls seeing as though all the other positions, other than KPP and the ruck are filled for many years to come.
But anyways, I'll be keenly watching their development!

Ah ok...Do you think he has the ability to be a back-up ruckman or kpp? He's huge and from memory has a decent kick on him...

He could be a pretty useful 3rd tall forward/backup ruckman, he was ahead of Jamar before injury this year so it will be interesting to see how he comes back from the shoulder op.

I've always been a big fan of Paul Johnson since he arrived at the club at the start of 2005. He was an impressive junior footballer, but really struggled with form, confidence and injury at West Coast. Since he returned home, he absolutely dominated the VFL as a ruckman/forward along with Jamar, and the two of them were a key part in our 2005 premiership. PJ has the potential to be a bulldozing forward with his giant frame and aggression. He isa natural ruckman too, so he can always pinch hit there when needed. I think he was in for a big seaosn until he got injured in Round 4, but when his door closed, Jamar's opened up and we saw a lot of promise in the big Russian, particularly with his big grabs inside 50.
