With all this trade and rumors being the main subjecyt if the board, id though i'd bring up the topic of former players and what they are doing now football wise.

Former Roos Danny Stevens (Brother of Nick) coached Tatura to a Premiership in the Goulburn Valley Football League, one of Vic Country's strongest Leagues .

I know we drafted him a few years back and he wasn't as nearly good as his brother but did he ever crack any games for the roos, especially since he would have been there in the glory era of the 90's???

ANyone know of any other former players plying their trade out bush/suburbs and who for/how they are going???

Colin Gadsden who played in one of our under 19s flags before being traded to Geelong, played for Parkside in the WRFL this year. I think Parkside won the flag too.

F365 -
Danny Stevens played about 15 games for North during the mid 90s.

Didn't Danny Stevens score a cracker of a goal at the MCG on his debut? Got the ball in the middle, ran, took a few bounces, dodged a player or two, and slotted it through?

Craig Sholl was going for the 3peat with the Echuca Murray Bombers but was pipped by Danny Stevens Tatura team. Garry Stevens (Anthony & Michael's brother) kicked 5 goals for Tatura in the Grand Final. Does anyone know if he is a younger or older brother?

Damian Houlihan recently played in Gisbornes grand final win coached by Micky McGuane.
Tim Vander Klooster is somewhere over seas in some band, and Brady Anderson is in the modelling business with Elle McPherson or Claudia Schiffer, one of the 2. (Managing or something like that)

Anybody know what happened to Anthony Dwyer?

I think Matty Larkin (Coach) and Anthony Mellington (Player) are at Mont Morency in the Diamond Valley. Lost the Grand Final.

Brett Chandler is player/coach of Donacster in Div 2 of the Eastern League.

Lindsay Smith won the league b&f for Bordertown in the KNTFL.

Yes I believe you're right. Pity he didn't do much else.

Keenan Reynolds is playing for Darley in the Ballarat Football League, bagged another 100 goals this year.

Oh what could have been.

Freak athlete. Probably the best I have seen. Never seen a bloke over 190 cm's jump that high, and he was nearly 200. COuld jump onto heads. Not climb, but jump and land on a bloke.

Soft as sh1t though.

Went to school in Werribee with Keenans younger brother, Clinton. He was in the year above us, was the standout in school back then.

Agreed. But him and Pagan were never on the same page. When Denis got rid of him from the Roos at the end of 2001, Smith gave him a mouthful. Smith then ended up at the Blues. A year later when Denis arrived at the Blues, who was the first player given their marching orders ? You guessed it !
The kid had a tonne of ability....

Almost right.

It was against Geelong, North were playing the old Pagan's paddock, the ball came through CHF and Stevens was all on his own inside 50. He picked it up running flat out at the goals with a Geelong player (Derek Hall I think) on his tail and dribbled it along the ground from about 30 meters out.

He is in between Anthony and Michael. I think he won a Morrish Medal playing for the Swans in about 90-91.
