Dobbed in or not, I'd be pissed off if I was playing against an opposition player who was jacked up. Matho should have been smarter... if he's going down that path then stop playing footy.
Yep - Matho pretty much said it that way himself on SEN, and took full responsibility for what happened.I believe he was on the body building style roids in the off-season and believed he would pass tests 'in season'.
In or out of competition testing is almost unheard of at that level, but if you were going to get tested at all - it would be 'in competition' and he felt he was safe.
As the story is alleged, after an opposition club dobbed him in, he was target tested on game day and its been suggested that he passed this test.
He was then chased again for an out of competition test, and this is the one he failed and was subsequently banned for.
Is there knowledge of which coach dobbed him in?I believe he was on the body building style roids in the off-season and believed he would pass tests 'in season'.

He said it made him play worse-couldn’t run out of sight on a dark night.Yep - Matho pretty much said it that way himself on SEN, and took full responsibility for what happened.
Fairly common knowledge is was an oppo club doctor who was irate about it. Only 2 clubs have doctors, so either Morningside or Sherwood. Not sure which one.
I imagine most people think its an over reach, it certainly didn't enhance his performance! My view is that its pretty poor form to actively dob him in, but no idea what the clubs and players feel about it - probably a mixed bag.
A mind your own business mentality would have been better, but each to their own.
Completely agree.I may be in a minority, but to me, if a health professional can see he is visibly enhanced by supplements, he is quite within his rights to raise the matter - if only to maintain the integrity of the competition. Otherwise others may be tempted to go down that path, just to remain competitive.
And the doctor may feel his integrity would be compromised personally if he doesn't raise the issue.I may be in a minority, but to me, if a health professional can see he is visibly enhanced by supplements, he is quite within his rights to raise the matter - if only to maintain the integrity of the competition. G’day Mitch, welcome to BigFooty.Matho is a good bloke and i cant see putting on that much mass did much for his footy

I dont buy into oh he thought he was under the levels with blood test bullshit, he just assumed he wouldn't be tested at qafl levelValid statement. I'd say 99% of this board would agree with that.
huh?G’day Mitch, welcome to BigFooty.
Coming back?
