Went to Sepang for the MotoGP many years ago and ate a shitload of satay… I remember it was when Steve Irwin died and we had a BBQ stingray for revenge

Have a friend who lives in Marina Bay but it’s so expensive in SG now apart from the outdoor food courts. Fortunately that’s where the best char kway teow is found

Another mate is in JK and I also used to go there for work. We would cruise around trying different beef rendang places.

TW was also a regular biz trip when I was living in China. Once I managed to stay for the weekend and dive with hammerheads off Green Island

Without sidetracking this thread (which should be about Thailand now and what you're up to there) I've never argued Trump is a great bloke. He's a narcissist who has a habit of hyperbolising to the point of annoyance. The fact that he is more effective at putting ecofascist noses out of joint than anyone else I know is small compensation. What's far more interesting is the tendency of the media to demonise him to the point ludicrosity then act staggered when after 8 years of doing so, most US voters don't believe them any more. So yeah, I've mainly been interested in media portrayals of him and how people lap it up and regurgitate it so willingly.

The duck curry is called gaeng phet ped yang in case you want to try it. Very good, spice is nicely balanced by the sweetness of the grilled pineapple - one of the rare occasions where it improves a dish
