How often last night were we left exposed after having given the ball up in the forward line only to see the Cats run it back with little to no pressure..both in a tackling sense and in the sense that too many of our players were caught forward of the ball.
Maybe this is to be expected of a young side but too me it just seems like the boys eyes light up when we have the footy and all love streaming forward but when the ball is turned over we get absolutely spanked the other way...kind of like what has been happening to Essendon all year.
This is further highlighted when you consider how hard Geelong made us earn our goals last night when you compare the relative ease with which they were able to run the ball up the ground, through the gear.
Boys, it's ok to be in drive when thats what we need, but don't forget to reverse or you will get caught napping!
