Where is Corey Gault?

I have not seen him at Training for a few weeks and was not at the U-23 Game vs Dees last week.

So wondering what has Happened to Gault or have I missed him?

Please reread my post. Do I say that Hine is an idiot anywhere in there?

As good as Hine is, not every pick Hine picks turns into an AFL player. It has nothing to do with Hine, and it has more to do with the quality of the draft pool.

I am suggesting that Gault will be one of those picks that doesn't make it.

I heard from a family friend of theirs in perth that he got concussed in the first 10 mins of that scratch match last week, so he hasnt been able to do anything this week because of it

Gault might not make it but I would not make a Call on it yet

It is a Shame but I guess he could play Nab Cup RD 2 vs Melbourne and I could check him out next week in VFL Game vs Cats @ Kardina Park

You weren't really making a prediction though, a prediction is there you say something along the lines of "I don't think [PLAYER] will make it because of [X], [Y], and [Z]." You just seemed like you were stating a pre-determined fact.

Not that I disagree, but that's why I think people would get prickly.

Yep, it's all in the wording. There's nothing wrong if you don't think he'll make it, but if you state it the way you did then people will react to it (like they have now).

He was not a high draft pick but he did say that Collingwood spoke 3 times to him before the draft so obviously someone was quite keen to draft him,much too early to write him off he has only been here 8 weeks and he does have scope for improvement.

The powers that be at the club do indeed get it wrong sometimes but they do do due diligence,drafting is one area the club has got really good at and is probably the main reason the club is strong today.

We have not had high draft picks for quite a while now but our development of players is 1ST class and I would not write anyone off after 8 weeks.

Declaring a draftee 'wont make it' at this stage is a bit tough don't you think? Suggesting the 'chances of him making it are slim' would be considered more appropriate.
