Where is Dwight going?

Still a year to run on his contract with the magic, but you would think he would land at the nets. But the lakers will also push hard (as they now have nash and better trade bait). Houston are reportedly going hard as well.

He will be traded 100%.. I'm not sure why Houston would want him because he has stated that if anyone but the nets recruit him he will leave after his contract is up.

He wants to go to a championship team where they wont lose any assets via the trade so they are no weaker and he's the main man of the team

...Seriously, Screw Dwight, Lose a lot of respect for him, however he'll eventually end up at the Nets, I doubt some of those mid ranged teams will land him since he'll walk straight out to someone else in FA

Dwight can huff and puff all he likes about only signing an extension with the Nets, but if he goes to free agency he can't get to Brooklyn. If the Magic take the best trade offer (which surely can't be the shit sandwich being offered up by the Nets) he can either extend with that team and get his 5 years, or go somewhere with cap room and get 4 years.

In a year's time the Nets will still only have a shit sandwich to offer in a sign-and-trade.

If he was so set on the Nets he should've sacked up and not waived his opt-out to avoid a trade at the deadline, the Magic would've dumped him to any takers and he'd be unpacking in Brooklyn as we speak.

That was the most frustrating thing about this whole process. If only Dwight had the balls to face Orlando and say he wanted to leave before he waived his opt out last year, then now he could choose where he wanted to go.

Instead anyone that wants him has to weaken their team and that will obviously hurt his chances to win a championship.

Pure childish stupidity from Dwight. I hope he is traded to a lottery team. With 15 power forwards I am sure Houston needs a centre.

I don't think it will be the Nets or the Lakers. The Magic only want to trade him if they can bring in someone that will help make them better. I don't think either of those teams has anything the Magic want. Bynum is the only one with any value. I'm guessing there will be another team that bobs up.

I'm not sure his intention was this but really if anything he has done the right thing for Orlando. Instead of dogging them like Lebron did he has made sure they will get somethin in return

If I remember correctly if he did opt out, Orlando would have traded him before the last trade deadline. So they would be in a similar situation as they are now

They are always going to make a loss though. You are not gonna be able to replace Dwight. At least with this deal, they get a genuine Centre back and a scorer in Harden. You wanna throw some picks in?

Remember this however I think they changed their mind because they thought they could convince him 2 stay

You'd think Orlando would be after a couple of expiring contracts, perhaps a good young guy like Harden and some quality first rounders. OKC can't offer that.

Who thinks Westbrook + filler for Dwight? Westy brings PG experience if Nelson leaves, and Fisher could be starting for a championship team yet again... well, is that a loss or a win for OKC?

Neither can the Lakers and NJ, but everyone still says he's goin to one of those 2.

Orlando.

Harden's value went down considerably after the finals, and Perkins has negative value.

OKC should straight out offer Westbrook for Howard. With Harden and Maynor they don't lose heaps in that department, but with Howard they probably win next year for sure.

The Lakers can offer Bynum who is more valuable that Harden in my opinion. The Nets can offer Brook Lopez who isn't exactly great.

I understand what you're saying but I don't think Orlando would be interested in anyone other than Harden. Brooklyn, LA and OKC won't have good picks to give for Dwight so I think expiring contracts will be what Orlando is after, so they can start the rebuild quickly.

*Unless one of the teams can swing a deal that lands them a few first rounders that could end up being lottery.
