Winderlich, Lonergan, Monfries, Stanton and Watson have all improved as players.


Lonergan not developing this year? what have you been watching?. As for Monfries whilst he had a slow start to the year, he has managed to find some consistency in his game that he lacked previously. But the one who has copped the most unwarranted criticism is Stanton. He is starting to become an even more valuable asset to our team, his possie ave may be down but he is trying to fix other areas of his game. In recent weeks this has been evident.

As much as you and the media want to make it out, it hasn't been all doom and gloom for us this year.

Read my post again before going off on a tangent. FFS I was suggesting they as a collective or a group were not developing as quickly as other team's youngsters... I was not referring particularly to this year but as a whole of their short careers, I was not targeting any particular player but a group that since being at the club have not provided a big enough output on the whole for their respective games or seasons on the list!

Lonergan has played 2 decent games in a row... quick, give him a 10 year contract! :rolleyes:

Yeah, Monfries has improved... what other team in the competition would he get a game on? That goes for the other players mentioned! Be realistic not blinkered! WE ARE BOTTOM 4!!!

His form this year would get him a game at any club in the competition.

I've been a big critic of his, but he's impressed me this year.
He's actually tried to make things happen, he's lifted.

He's winning his own ball and putting his head over the footy. His effort on the outer wing against Adelaide was a great example of the way he is now taking it upon himself to stamp his authority on the game.

He if was in our side and playing this sort of footy in 2000 when the team was winning, he'd be heralded as one of the games most exciting footballers.

We're losing, but he's performing well. He's averaging 17 disposals a game, but only had two games this season where he's had less than his average. So much for inconsistency, that's an alarming statistic for someone who is seen as inconsistent. He's been anything but this season.

When we put Davey back in the side, he becomes and even more dynamic option.
