in light of recent results, where do we all think our beloved team will finish on the ladder in 2004, and furthermore in the finals?

with a full fit team in 3-4 weeks, will we still have enough time to run into form come september?

my thoughts are similar to last year, if not a decline seeing us finish 7-9th

6th on 13 wins, 9 losses or 7th on 12 wins, 10 losses.

I'd be quite confident winning home games against Carlton MCG, Collingwood MCG and Western Bulldogs TD and hopefully snag an upset win over St Kilda TD, Port Adelaide TD or Sydney TS.

I think we'll finish 11-11 and miss the 8 on percentage. We will lose to St. Kilda, Port, Sydney, and one of Carlton or Collingwood.

There is very little being shown at the moment for me to believe we're a chance to beat anyone currently above us on the ladder.

Pessimistic maybe, but I'm not confident in this playing list's ability to play as a team and show the hunger necessary to win important games of footy.

at the way we are going...we could lose all our remaining games...stk and port are a league ahead of us even with our best team, carl and coll are always troublesome games for us, sydney is hitting really good form, and the doggies are always in there for an upset

even if we do get players back from injury i dont think they'll be able to get into good enough form to scrape us into the finals...goodbye 2004 look towards 2005

might be pessimistic but if you think about its realistic

i think we'll win 3.. make the finals.. maybe win the first one, then lose to port at AAMI stadium

there's a good chance we'd make it in on percentage - we have a better percentage than west coast and carlton, pretty much equal with sydney, its only north and freo we have to worry about..

Sydney = (Fremantle at Subi next week, Brisbane at home, Kangaroos at home, Melbourne at TD, us at TS, Richmond at MCG),

Fremantle = (Sydney at home, Carlton at OO, Collingwood at S, Geelong at SS, West Coast at S, St Kilda at TD),

Kangaroos = (Hawthorn at MCG, Adelaide at AAMI, Sydney at SCG, St Kilda at TD, Western Bulldogs at TD, Brisbane at G)

All have very tough run homes - if we can manage the three wins we should be expected to prevail in we'll make it. Another win would be the icing on the cake against the three top 8 sides we have left. A first up home elimination final still a very real possibility - don't be discouraged.

That looks promising.

Best case scenario would be to somehow fluke all Melb finals. With a full team we'd at least be competitive vs any of the Victorian sides. Realistically though, we've got a battle on our hands just to make the 8, and our % and confidence could be shot within a fortnight.

Probably 9th on %. I can only see us just winning 2 of the remaining left. Probably collingwood and footscray.

Spot on. No one seems to worry about our percentage but it is terrible and will cost us a finals spot.

I think we can beat the Dogs and Pies, probably losing the remaining 4 games.

i'm not a realist, i'm an unrealistic optimist so i'm gunna say the ladder will be like this:

essendon
fremantle
kangas
geelong
sydney
west coast
hawthorn
collingwood

i doubt wheather its even mathamatically possible but thats what i'd like.

I very much doubt that the Kangas will make the eight now, meaning that we are probably competing with the swans and eagles for two spots in the eight. Good chance to make it you would think, 12 wins could be enough if we win games well.
