No we don't. He makes bad decisions, butchers the ball, is as outside as they get and cramps Marty's style.

I'd go as far as saying Ben Johnson has been our worst player this year, all things considered.

I had him one of our best in the first half of last year, but since then the slide has been considerable. What gives Benny?

He has gone down hill big time.
I used to love his dash.
He looked like a snail against Essendon when they beat us.
I reckon he has been on the piss with the other clowns.
That is probably why he has under performed.
I might be and hope that I am wrong.
I would love to see him back at full flight, but he is down in the dumps and I cannot see him back this year.
Have a feeling that he is in Malthouse's bad books.

Ben Johnson has been my screensaver since I bought my laptop in 2004. The only reason he is still there is that I am too lazy to change it, but this thread is prompting me to take decisive action. What a disappointment the man has become!

I don't think the decline has been at all sudden. His form last year was very poor too. I think the knock has thrown him a bit becasue he, as MDC has said is now as outside as they come. There once was a time that you would be assured Ben would give it everything he has to win a 50/50

As others have also pointed out he makes poor choices with the ball, namely he just blindly goes long as he can with an up and under into the fowardline without thinking. When Rocca was there that may have been acceptable, hell at times it may have been the game plan but for a majority of this year it's been Trav and no one and Benny's blind bombs have cost us.

Told you all a while ago...somewhere... that he was taking up McCarthy's spot. Now J-Mac's in there, I'd struggle to find someone wanting Johno back in, in place of him. Nothing against Johno, wonderful servant, but at the minute J-Mac's in front of him.
