That time of year when football is winding down so just thought id bring this up as i was very interested to hear peoples opinions.
Whether theyve been hampered by injuries, are a late bloomer, havent fully developed or just havent fully commited themselves as a footballer yet, i just wanted to know peoples opinions on which 2012 draftee has the most amount of potential to become the best in their draft pool if they were to fully realise their potential?
Draftees which come to mind:
Troy Menzel: Question marks over his knees and has also spent alot of time on the sidelines because of these injuries, however is regarded as one of the most talented in this years draft and has the ability to change a game on its head.
Jake Stringer: Similar to Menzel in that he broke his leg and has spent the majority of the last 2 years recovering from it, however is a Big Contested ball winner who has the ability to play both midfield and key forward ala Matthew Pavlich, and was regarded as a top 3 draft pick before he broke his leg.
Jackson McRae: Late bloomer and until this year was not regarded as a 1st round draft pick, however that has all changed this year when he has absolutely dominated all levels of the game this year whether it be for Oakleigh or Vic Metro. Plays like Scott Pendlebury mixed with Steve Johnson, however is still light on frame and the potential is limitless once he develops his body.
Dayle Garlett: While not drafted, he was seen to be one of the top few on talent in this years draft. His speed and skills were top of the group, however his attitude and behaviour has let him down. If he were to pull his head in and really try to get the most out of himself would he be the best and be the next Andy McLeod/Michael Long?
Ben Kennedy: Will his height let him down? Kennedy is tough, fast and skillful and has the ability to dominate, however due to his size he has mainly played small forward and only pushed into the midfield this year. Will his height let him down or could he become the best of the lot?
Joe Danniher: Steal at number 10. Danniher is 200cm Key Forward who is mobile below his knees. Seen as the number 1 player in this years draft, once he develops will he be the best?
Those are just a few? But who has the most potential to be the best?

it's a tough call. In the top 20 alone there is a lot of potential.
