I know Men at Work hit the jackpot there with Down Under, and the Seekers had a #1 US hit way back.

Im not sure if any other artists achieved this feat, anyone know? care to list them?

thanks

Savage Garden had a few i think with Truly Madly Deeply and I Want You.

Although Kylie and Crowded House got to number 2 with Locomotion and Don't Dream It's Over respectively.

Savage Garden got there as mentioned.

Also Torn by Natalie Imbruglia somehow got that far........I don't know how!

not with a single but an album. It is an impressive fact that ACDC Back in Black album is the 5th highest selling album of all time in the US!!!

INXS's "need you tonight" was number one in america in 1987

ooh for albums i think Kick was number one..but i have no idea..

Did The Bee Gees ever have a US number 1?

Pretty sure Stayin Alive was no.1 but it's debatable whether Bee Gees are Australian.

Olivia Newton John has had 5 no.1s. Summer Nights, You're the One That I Want, Physical, I Honestly Love You and Hopelessly Devoted to You were all no.1.

I think it did, and younger brother Andy Gibb also had a US number 1.

As for the debateable about being Australian bit, the same goes for Olivia Newton-John.

As opposed to AC/DC, Cold Chisel, Crowded House, John Farnham????

Didn't Friday On My Mind go to number 1?

Only got to #16.
Apart from those already mentioned I'm pretty sure Men At Work also went #1 with "Who can it be now?" as well as the aforementioned "Down Under".

Any Rick Springfield stuff go to no.1?? (Jessies Girl maybe?)

Nice pick up. IIRC "Jessie's Girl" went #1 and then he went close (but not quite #1)with the follow ups "I've done everything for you" and "Affair of the heart".
