I work with an American girl in Melb n she chose to follow the cfc as 'they have the best kit by far'. Me sending her pics of Paddy Cripps training n all buffed out may have had something to do wit it too...

If anything we should have kept this one. It is what the old/current one was always meant to be before technology allowed for it to grace the guernsey.

My issue is with the redesigned 'curved' version of this. Happy for it to be in the wreath but on the jumper it looks weak.

Still think we did the right thing reverting to a clean/uniform version of the heritage monogram.

I love soccer jerseys, they're a bit different to footy guernseys in that the sponsor logo is more prominent but sometimes the logo just goes so well with the kit, for instance in Eintracht Frankfurt's away kit on the right here:

This Arsenal one is nice too

But you can't go past Real Madrid's home kit. Simple, classy, historic.

It's all about what the Adidas template is like. Being a plain kit like Real's, the template can have a huge affect on their kit design.
Same with Carlton, but damn our template is amazing. And the fact that Nike make the monogram 3D plays a big part in how our guernsey looks.

For me, less is more especially for soccer Guernseys which change every season. The RM is just that, Simple and classy.

If AFL were a global sport our Guernsey would be instantly recognisable.

Exactly, that raised monogram really sets us apart from the rest of the competition.

I have that baby blue guernsey and it's raised. Looks great! (I'm a Sturt supporter, double blue is kinda our thing!)

Bit off topic, but I noticed on the stickers sent out by the club that the career one logo is white text ONLY with no garish green box. If they could replicate that on the guernsey (wishful thinking) I'd be much happier with it.

It looks alive.....organic....real.....and maybe even imperfect and not just some shitty, lifeless sublimation print. That's what I think

To me it's unprofessional and better suited to an Auskick jumper or something similar. but I'm just repeating myself at this point, I don't think we'll change each other's minds

I've gone with one of these woollen bad boys from the CFC site. The $200 price tag looks scary, but once you factor in the member's discount plus the 20% off voucher you get with membership, it's only $35 more than a standard playing jumper. Should be well worth the extra coin IMO.

Im talking more for a clash jumper rather than the baby blue we wear now

Isn't the problem with the clash more from side on and behind? You can see the CFC logo from front on, so I imagine that wouldn't be too much of a problem.
What's wrong with keeping the front the same and having the top half of the back in white where the numbers are? A little bit over the shoulders and around the sides.
Excuse the crudeness, but something along these lines?
