Bailey and the leadership group asked the Mid-tier players to lift after the round 1 flogging.

Who are these players and what parts of their games have improved and what impact do they have now?

Pettard being an obvious one, great focal point for the forward line atm

Seriously all of them, I'm not even joking. N.Jones especially. I think i his number 1 fan. And well before yesterday, his only fan. He has stepped up a gear and is only 22 or 23?.

Have to say Moloney has definitely lifted, lots of clearences and just hard at it. Playing the best he has for us the last few weeks. Never really was a fan but thats changed now for sure :D. Also Jamar is on fire, most definitely taken his game to a new level.

That round 2 game against Collingwood could turn out to be a blessing as long as we don't miss the finals by a game, getting so close to knocking off a Premiership contender really set a fire under the players.

Greeny said it best on the Sunday Footy Show when he said "we don't have any superstars in our team, we've just got 22 blokes who play their role extremely well".

The guys who have been around a few years all seemed to have lifted..

Jones, Bate, Dunn, Bartram etcc..

And of course the big Russian.

Bail has also been one hell of a surprise, along with McKenzie.

Bailey came to the Demon with big raps on him as a master of player development, and he has not put a foot wrong.

Cant wait to see what he does with the likes of Maric, Jetta, Blease, Strauss and others.

No one lifted, all we did was dump Miller. ;) And the results really took care of themselves.

Seriously everyone i think has lifted, everyone has contributed. Cameron the Bruce is probably the closest player we have to a dud atm and that's saying somthing because he hasn't actually been that bad.

Good times ahead. :)

For mine, Bate and Jones have been two standouts. Both looking to have a bit of confidence about them, and that makes them play well.

Always liked Jonesy, glad to see him finally putting all the pieces together. His passion for the red and blue seems to exceed Moloney's, which is pretty damn good.

James Frawley - obviously did well on the weekend, but has looked pretty solid down back of late.Jack Riewoldt kicked a few on him last week but still think that he has stepped it up. His body seems to be getting big enough now to compete with those larger defenders.

Joel mac - Dont know if he is quite a mid tier player or not? played a fair bit for the lions but new to our club has been mega solid out of defence. I am personally surprised how good a pick up he has been.
