I really like how he stands up in the contest and is willing to take the game on. Only problem is he has no left foot and is similar to Raines in this part of the game. Whenever he gets caugth on the left he is stuffed and turns the ball over or has to run sideways.

whitey has the tools to be a pretty good player at the level, pace, good vision and a nice pentrating kick. Needs to lift his game to the next level where he reg picks up 15-20 possies currently sits at 10-12...It took newy a while to get to that stage, i reckon whitey is on the same track, i like the boy:thumbsu:

Hes a trier and works his arse off week after week, more than you can say for some more talented players, but can we afford a minuscule trier who only gets about 12 possessions a match?
I know stats aren't everything, but gees he'd want to do a lot off the ball if he continues with those usually less than satisfactory numbers (for a mid)...

I like the boy

Don't worry about not getting 30 touches each week, he's not getting much game time. Similar to how Foley was getting restricted game time early in his career. Look forward to him getting more of a go next year.

newman did for 4 years before he got to the level he is at now

I think he's quite well built, although he could spend a lot more time in the gym. Uses the ball alright and is fairly quick. Still developing, keep him for another 3-5 years and if he doesn't perform maybe look at trading.

What I like about Whitey is the pressure he puts on the opposition when they have the ball, at least half of the team could and should take a leaf out of his book! He has improved a lot this year! Still more improvement required, but I see him as ahead, at this stage, of Edwards, Hyde, and a host of others.Time will tell all!
