we wont win a premiership with him in the team

I don't think he is necessarily the problem. How much money he is taking up of our salary cap is a bigger probably as it reduces our ability to attract players that are able to make us more competitive.

I would be keen to keep him on the list but at a much reduced contract.

I think you would find that if we had a few more scoring and mid field options he would be a consistently a better player.

I'm concerned that Lance can't play for half a season, then pulls out some great efforts to keep the wolves from the door. We were all worried that we would get nothing for him when he was out of form, then when he finds some form which should raise his trade worth, we want to keep him.

How many CHF's in the competition would be persevered with for 10 weeks of mediocrity in a row? Not too many. Lance would need to perform every week for the rest of the year to be considered back in form and worthwhile of holding down a key position in our team IMO. If he was versatile and quick enough to play on the flanks, we wouldn't be having this conversation. We can't carry Lance in the side as a pinchhitting forward so he needs to show more consistency.

FWIW, I hope he does because he is good to watch at least once a season, imagine watching it about 15 times a season?

He was playing on Andrew Sheaurble (spelling incorrect) he has grey hair and is about as quick as Lance.

It was a great game from him and I love Lance, a great bloke and a top footy brain. But we must trade him! If we can't then we keep him.

if he can pull out a couple of more decent games we could get a first round pick at around 10-18

I stand by my comment that if we had a solid spine with 2 other forward options . adding lance to the forward line would turn a ford falcon into a ferrari. i think hes been solid all year but we expect him to be better. if we can hang on to him till 2008ish and fully rebuild. he will be something special. the key to lances success is other solid players around him like in 2000. i dont think he is capable of being the key target consistently.

Funny how effective he is when he plays up forward! From memory, the last time he had a good game was the round 2 clash with the bombers! Actually, come to think of it.....he played most of that game up forward to. Hmmm, wonder where we should play him this week?>

Sell him off to the Scum he'll find himself there with Rocca and Tarrax and that young bloke. That'll free up our slaray cap and we'll get a young, accountable player that will give us at least 15 good games a year, rather than 5 if yr lucky.

I would jump at a 2nd round pick for him. It would free up some cash, allow a skinnier player to prove himself and ofcourse, we get another young player via the draft.

I couldnt agree with you more, i think we should keep him until we have a good team so we can re build around him and he will get better

id love to trade lance he is useless, on a rare occasion plays a blinder and as others suggested get a pick for him and get the youngsters going..

Trading Whitnall would be the stupidest thing we could do. Playing him at CHF and actually leaving him there would be the smartest thing we could do.

he had a couple of lean games when he actually was at CHF then they move him around and try to plug holes. To win a Premiership you need a CHF as has been shown in most great grand final sides. Carlton has a gun CHF and plays him lose and on the wing.

For ********S sake we've got a gun CHF and a gun FF most teams would kill for that, we can build a team around these two blokes.

PLEASE MR PAGAN JUST PLAY THEM IN THEIR POSITIONS!

Schauble is no mug though, it doesn't cheapen Lance's performance. He beat all 3 opponents the Swans put on him. Great game.
