Who have been our recruiting team the last four years?

For a person who bags the club so much, you'd think you'd know your facts a bit better than what you must do.

For the record...........Shane O'Sullivan was our head Recruiting Manager for many a year up until the 2003 Draft (Walker).

Following this draft, O'Sullivan was placed onto other duties and replaced by Wayne Hughes, who is a former Fremantle Recruiting Manager.

Now you know who to start blaming Shlomo.............so I guess we can expect another Shlomo diatribe shortly.

Sure, O'Sullivan did make some mistakes, but he got some good ones as well. Recruiting can be hit and miss, and we've just had a few more higher profile misses in recent history.

Hughes was the recruiting manager from 1989 to 1994 at St Kilda. Working along side Hughes at Carlton is a head scout who goes by the nicknamed "Stoog" who i have no idea what his real name is but was supposed to be the one who spotted Karl Norman playing in the Ovens and murrey league.

For the record, the question needs to be "who IS our recruiting team?" or even "who are the members of our recruiting team?" This is not a Collingwood or PA thread.

Have you actually looked at some of the player Freo picked up in the draft?

Can't blame the recruitment department for Freo's incompetence. They did they're job and then some.

Might not seem like much but Freo recruit mostly Western Australians.

He's a pretty good player for pick 55, even if he is a sniper and a cheat.

Yeah throw in Leigh Brown.

Pavlich is a South Aussie, but you might be right. I have no clue about the inner workings of the Freo recruitment staff now or in the past. I'm just naming Vic born players who we're recruited by Freo during Hughes time.

Says more about Freo's coaching staff then it does about Crowley or their recruitment staff. Good player Crowley, I would love to have him playing for us. We need a quality tagger who does some damage going the other way.

I'm not 100% on that. I could be wrong but White is 29 and he would've had to have been at Freo 11-12 years ago.

We should forget about recruiting a tagger because our priorities should be finding a young ruckman or onballer in the PSD.

We should be after any young player who we think has a future as a quality player and as a valuable contributor to the team, as long as we don't pay over the odds for them.
