I think Seaby will be really good....And pis off to another club at the end of the year.. He will be playing to go to another club.

He wanted to go last year to play at a club where he would get game time. The Eagles squissed that so they could have a back-up to Cox. And then Nic-Nat gets the call before him........Nah......I reckon he'll be difficult and you'll probablly get nothing for him as he will go into the psd.

We didn't squiss (?) his wanting to go. We tried for a trade but none came forward. He said if no suitable trade could be found he will continue on with his contract. We will no doubt try again this year. I have no reason to think he will try and screw us over, he could have already done that if he really wanted to.

Upon saying that, we will still probably get nothing for him. Or at least practically nothing.

I keep reading here that Seabs is doing well in the Wafl. I seem to be missing all his good games.

I've seen 3 WP games in the past 5 weeks, and to me he just looks disinterested except in ruck contests. Yeah, once or twice he happened to be in position to contest the ball, but I didn't see any 20+ meter runs to get in place for a contest. In one game all he seemed to do between ruck knocks was pace up and down the wing. I honestly did not see him raise a sweat.

I've read this thread with interest. I have the following to say (I reckon it makes sense)...

1. its a proven fact that the 2nd string ruckmen never develop whilst you have a dominant ruckman playing. It happened to Cox when Gardiner was at your mob and its happening now. Seaby is a fair player, he needs time to develop.

2. Your forward line is a mess and has no structure... whilst I dont rate Lynch as a forward, he seems to straighten you guys up. Now, if you have LeCras, Kennedy and Lynch operating up forward... its looking fairly dangerous down there (you have 2 marking targets and a quality crumber... teams have won with a lot less)

3. As for your ruck problem... its obvious... play Seaby. He'll surprise you... Nic Nat has 4 games experience and needs to learn. Lynch is a forward, so him play there, other wise you'll burn him out like Hunter

Footy is very simple game.

I think we need to play Seaby more often. At the end of the year we could maybe trade him for a different ruckman, maybe with more expirance as a 1st ruckman?

Playing Naitanui in front of Seaby beggars belief and we shouldn't even contemplate trading him given our current Ruck stocks.
