Who on here has been to an NBA game?

I went to two games when I was in Phoenix in January. Saw Suns vs Memphis and Suns vs Utah, might not sound like the most exciting games, but just going to a game (and the Memphis game was on my birthday so it made it even better), the atmosphere was amazing and America West Arena wasnt even full, they sure now how to put on a spectacle.

Clippers v Indiana, pre-season in October 1993. No Reggie. I can't even remember much of it, so let's assume it was a kick ass time.

I hope to catch some Timberwolves action when I'm in 'Sota next May.

not yet unfortunately. However next year the g/f and myself are planning a holiday from October, and an NBA game is a must on my list. I was going to see Mase play.... :( most likely the place we'll catch a game is in Seattle.

Saw LA vs Phoenix in Dec 92 at the Forum.

I'm toying with the idea of heading over to LA to see the Shaq, Kobe, Mailman & Payton show. Pick the right opposition and it's a great chance to see a lot of talent at the one time. Anyone interested?

The year the Oakland Coliseum Arena was being retrofitted and its seating capacity expanded, and with the Warriors temporarily housed at San Jose Arena, I saw a couple of games that year. I think it was the 1995-96 season, if memory serves.

One game was against Phoenix, the other was against Dallas. I can't remember much from the experience, either; went with a bunch of friends, and I doubt I would have went unless I was invited on account of extra tickets.

Not bad, but nothing special that year. The beginning of the Warriors' nosedive was well underway.

I saw Chicago v Miami a year or two ago at the United Centre.

Absolute yawn fest (Bulls won by 6 and both teams scored under 80).... and the pre-match entertainment and visuals looked exactly like it did at Wildcats games when they were at the Perth Entertainment Centre. Still pretty cool though but the Wildcats ripped everything off them.

And the funny thing was everyone in the crowd got a free taco bell and dunkin donut if the Bulls scored over 100.... so that's how infrequently it happened.

The stadium was awesome though. HUGE. I sat right up the top and you had to take 5 or 6 levels of stairs just to get up there for memory.

I'll be in L.A early next year, and hope to catch the Lakers Vs the Celtics... Any advice as far as what tickets to get? They range from $10 (US) to $1700 (US)... No idea what I should be looking for!

I spent $100 for my ticket. I figured that the game was going to be one of the highlights of my trip, so I wanted a decent seat. Ended up just a few rows behind Jerry West. Well worth it.

I saw the Mavs play Utah in the old Reunion Arena 3 years ago. I got soem tickets through the NBA and sat in the lower level, it was pretty damn amazing. Especially when the locals were suspicious when we sat in the middle of their members section.

We were in the Hotel next to the Arena when the Utah Jazz arrived. Karl Malone is a man mountain. I thought Stockton was the bell boy.

When I went to see the Suns play, tickets were pretty cheap, like u said cheapest were $10 US which will put you right up the back, which isnt too bad, but definitely not the best. At America West Arena, they had a deal which cost from memory about $25 US which was ticket to the game, however up the back but still were good seats, FREE Subway which they had at the Arena, and a free ticket to the Movies. Well worth the $25, we tried to sneak down into the empty seats for free, but got caught on all occasions, and having seen it from there, I would recommend you try and get as close as you can without paying thru the roof. Also, im sure you will, but buy any NBA stuff over there, they have heaps of it at the club stores and sports stores, I am so wishing I brought a Suns top now, because you cant get them in Australia.

When I was over there in 1998/99 with my school team we went up to Vancouver for a game and went to the arena where Vancouver played. Managed to convince one of the team officials to let us havea tour through the back room. Eventually got into the lockerroom for photos infront of Reef's locker etc. We were scheduled to see a game in L.A. during the tour but it was during the lockout.

Later we went to the training facility and with our sweet talking managed to get on court with Felipe Lopez and Pete Chilcutt for a shoot around. I think it was the first day back in camp after the lockout. Plenty of cameras around as well.

Ended up seeing only a half of a USC game but saw the Mighty Ducks and Penguins play.

Lived in LA for a year and saw all of Magic Johnson's Rookie Season. Have also seen games in Philadelphia, New York and Atlanta.

Been to 3 at Key Arena - my favourite was an overtime win against Charlotte in 2002 where Dez Mason tipped jammed on the buzzer to send the game into overtime, that was absolutely nuts.

Dingster, those Sonics/Clippers games to start the season, where they anywhere near you?

Basically like an interstate trip in footy. Unfortunately the timing was bad and I couldn't make it. Hopefully the NBA send someone more appealing than the Clips next year.

Went to the US end of last year and definately had it on my list to see an NBA game.

Went to a:
- Nets vs Mavs game (both teams had best record at this stage and it was an excellent game)

-Knicks vs Pistons game (Knicks surprising played well but just won after collapsing in last). Go do a tour of Madison Square Garden if you get the chance as it is ver very interesting, get to see players lockers and everything.

-Clippers vs Houston (saw Yao but from near back hard to see his size, in regard to tickets the view from top isnt bad but nothing like being near the front)

-Warriors vs Suns (awesome seats which were cheap and right near suns entrance to court complimented by quality game)

i recommend a going to anyone and definately want to do it again, you can get decent tickets at a decent rate in most places.
