I am doing a right hand legal U turn with an arrow.

When I do the U turn there are two lanes to drive into...about 50 metres up there is an entrance that I need to get into and have to cross over to the left lane to do that.

There are cars doing a left hand turn into where I am doing the U Turn.

We both have two green arrows to allow us to turn.

Who has right of way?

They do. You go into the right lane, they go into the left. Then you either speed up or slow down to get into that left lane. I'd suggest slowing down and changing lanes behind them unless they are dicking about.

Amazing how often people just swing right out when turning, often going across 3 lanes without indicating.
Just get in the closest lane and indicate your intentions to change lanes.
Tricky traffic situations can be avoided, just go the long way around :D

Suppose the confusing aspect is that at the same time both cars turning have a green arrow.

Noticed on other U Turns around here have signs that do say 'U Turn must give way'.

Maybe they should ban the U Turn at the OP intersection.

Your green arrow would have been to turn right though, not to U Turn I'd imagine? U Turning, you always give way..

When you are turning into a road (not at a roundabout) you can choose whatever lane you want.

The only exceptions to this are:
- you are on a continuous slip lane which enters the road as a new lane, then you have to change lanes (giving way as required)
- there are 2 or more turning lanes, you must follow the markings on the road. If there are none then you have to turn into the right-most lane for right turns and left-most lane for left turns.
