Sticks in dark on new role

HAS Stephen Kernahan replaced Wes Lofts as football director at Carlton?
Yes, says president John Elliott. Kernahan says it's news to him.
"John made a statement on radio yesterday. It's sort of news to me, in a way," Kernahan said last night.
"I'm chairman of the match committee, a part-time skills coach and I'm on the board.
"Basically, being on the board, I report on what happens in football to the board.
"But it would be naive to think that whatever happens in the future that Stephen Kernahan or Greg Williams, whoever's involved, won't be reporting to John Elliott or Wes Lofts about what's going on in footy, either way."
Blues chief executive Don Hanly last night said Lofts, a Blues powerbroker for the past 20 years, now had less involvement in football.
"Wes has been taking a less involved role over a long period of time, and I think what John has done is probably formalised it that Wes is no longer the person responsible for football at the club," Hanly said.
"That's not to say Wes won't be consulted on issues. Wes is still on the board."
What a Joke this is Cosmetic changes when a facelift is needed!
