Who is Rendell's 2010 draft top 5?

poor As.

All upset about Rendell. Is it because he said you'd have to be stupid not to trade and then let the player go into the PSD and be picked up for nothing?

What he should have said was that you'd have to be stupid like the Power were when they ****ed it up completely and let Stevens go for NOTHING. Ha ha ha ha ha:D:D

Nah, you can thank us for delaying Collingwood's flag for up to 7 years, coz they decided to tank for picks '04 & '05 (if you believe Herald-Sun). If they'd schemed their way to Nick... who knows, they may not have gone that way

And Duh.. I think Rendell mentioned Stevens, because he is trying to trade with Carlton, who know a bit about over rating their players and trying to screw other clubs. Let's see how that works for him... the new "sub" rule means clubs will only play 1 specialist ruck... lowering Jacobs' value to Carlton even further. It doesn't stop them asking you for Sellar in return, whose value probably goes up now as a 'flexible' tall player (=poor in all positions, but 'take what you can get', that's what you said, right?). I can just see the Rucci article lauding Jacobs as your ruck savior, Maric as yesterdays man. That'll help team unity. Then add insult to injury, the filth will probably offer you Walker for Vince+1st rounder next. LOL. Have fun.

Like watching an inevitable car accident in slow motion where both drivers somehow still manage to be at fault.

We have to wait till after the National Draft for him to tell us.

However we do know that those top 5 players will end up at the crows for 2011, just ask him, he gets the top 5 every year.

Go on the crows board, you'll find many there saying the same stuff.

Perhaps you should worry about your own club's drafting. Let's take a look at the drafting of the two clubs since Rendell has come on board:

Rendell
2007: Dangerfield (10), Otten (27), Jacky (30), Cook (38), Armstrong (58), Kite (71), Walker (75)
2008: Davis (10), McKernan (28), Sloane (44), Lee (60), Young (72)
2009: Talia (13), Gunston (29), Shaw (45), Craig (61),

Poort Spud:
2007: Lobbe (16), M.Motlop (28), M.Westhoff (33), Farmer (49)
2008: Hartlett (4), Trengove (22), Broadbent (38), Banner (42), Redden(54), Dawson (66), Davenport (78),
2009: Butcher (8), Moore (9), Pittard (16)

Crows players: 159 games and 120 goals and 4 Rising Star Nominees (Davis, Dangerfield, Otten, Walker)

Poort players: 106 games and 50 goals and 1 Rising Star Nominee (Trengove)

So you are basically saying Lobbe is finished as an AFL ruck. He is a dinosaur.
The new rule does not automatically mean clubs will play one Ruck. It may mean one less tall defender. ie Chappy may actually have to be accountable instead of playing "loose". Without the luxury of having Carlile, Salter and Trengove down there. Or it may make the tall, but cant run, wing/HFF role redundant. Meaning Westhoff is back to the Doggies, where he will at least win a few flags.

Apart from Trengove, none of your tall players can play more than one role. This rule is gonna hurt Port more than us.

Just keep a hold of those draft picks. Need to add to that spud farm. Good year to do it too.

Team Unity, lol, try and get Mots and Surj to play in the one team again.

bollocks! (where is the 'bollocks!' smiley when you need it ??)

Lobbe is our specialist ruck, no question there, and is Brogan's understudy. Butcher is a KPF, period. Carlile and Chappy are pure KPD. That's all the pure specialist talls on our list. Salter like Chad can play a KP forward and back, Stewart is more a forward than a 2nd ruck at AFL level, and of the untried-at-AFL level kids Jarrad Redden and Bass have rucked and gone forwards at SANFL level so far. JWesthoff can play a number of roles, unlike your Sellar, ('uncontroversially picked after Travis Boak') who seemingly can't. The issue for us is enabling Chappy or another to play more the loose role from the back and a bit more experience in our back six is the usual recipe.

I'm not convinced the 'tall winger' role is gone - not yet anyway. We aren't playing rugby. If they have a long kick to go with elite marking skills and can double as KPF, what's not to like ? If there's a move to a better kicking game plan there will be a premium on better marking skills attached to long skinny arms LOL.

Surj & Motlop playing on the same team, that will be fixed one way or another. You managed it with McLeod & Edwards and that was a far more serious blowup than anything our guys have ever had with each other.

You just worry about getting Maric & Jacobs in the same team at all. That's a lot of ruck playing in the SANFL for $300k/year or whatever the crazy number was (yes I read it in the Tiser so it is probably true ).
