How great the feeling was on the night we won the 2005 Wizard Cup, thinking "Ah yes, I can feel this year is going to be great"...

I remember having this as my desktop for a few weeks at work:

It only took a few months till it was gone...and the feeling of optimism turned into horror as we dropped to the bottom of the ladder



At least now those horror seasons are behind us, and I cannot wait to see us win another cup, this time, season proper

Can I ever! I couldn't remember being so excited since our actual glory days. I remember playing the song loudly through the house and getting pumped up, talking up our chances. That hurt, actually, took a while to recover from how quickly our fortunes changed. And the same happened again in 2006... And similar in 2007... how fresh a breath of air 2008 was!

My thoughts exactly. Soon as I looked at the picture I thought that's no Carlton side I know.

Alot of ordinary players in that group. Thank goodness we have been able to turnover our playing list, and get some decent quality kids into the club. Whilst that game was enjoyable as we won it, and collected $200k for our troubles, it really did mask a massive problem - a distinct lack of talent.

The day was topped off with some drunken screaming at the TV in the club house watching the Blues hold on to win this game. When Heath Scotland kicked that steadier in the 4th all the Eagles fans started pretending that they didn't give a shit about the result.

Same night confirmed CJ as the fastest player I'd ever seen carrying the ball. One of his goals that night was frankly impossible.
