With the points system as it is, If Murphy wins the race, Ambrose must finish 4th or better to take the championship. I believe they would finish equal, but Ambrose would take the title on countback, based on round wins.

Skaifey's not without a show - should Ambrose and Murphy trip each other up, or Ambrose just worries about Murph, Skaifey would win his 6th.

Its all gonna come down to co-drivers - Toddler can hold off all behind him should Skaifey be leading, Rick Kelly showed today that he can match it with the best, and Tossell can act as a the battering ram should Ambrose fall behind (like he showed today).

Being a Holden man, my money's on Murphy. If not to win it for Holden, then to win it for JUBJUB.:D

I think you meant to say team mates, there are no co-drivers like at Sandown and Bathurst. But yes agreed, team mates will play a big part, and not necesarily TEAM mates, but also manufacturer mates. Ford showed today its reluctance to help Ambrose, with Seton holding up Ambrose for numerous laps. Like I have said in another thread (see Constructord Title thread) if Murph out scores Ambrose by 8 points then overall Murph will win by 2 points, but with the adjusted points system and dropping the worst round, Ambrose would win by 16 points. Surely this just shows what a stupid system it is, where the driver who scores the most points for the WHOLE year LOSES the title because of a stupid rule. Lets prey that doesnt happen.

Yeah - team mates. I'm still in enduro mode.:D

And I'll say this again - the points system was brought in to stop Mark Skaife. If last years system was in, Ambrose would have been champion at Oran Park or Hidden Valley.

But because of a knee-jerk reaction by CAMS and AVESCO they changed they system, and now its screwing the people they brought it in to helpout.

And where is Skaifey this year???

It has been a tough year on all drivers, but it has come down to the last round of the year, and yes it will come down to team mates and Ingall has showed in the last two rounds he is out to look after Ambrose, he did a great job cutting infront of Murphy at Surfers and in NZ dragged Ambrose through the traffic, this is no doubt going to be a ball tearing Eastern Creek round, and there can only be one winner.............................Marcos Ambrose, this is his year and he deserves it, he has driven very well and has had a fantastic team behind him all year, it has been six long painful hard years for Ford fans and now our time has come, we will no longer have the sand kicked in our faces, Ambrose will do it for every Ford Fan in Australia.......................It's been along time between drinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BRING IT ON:D :D :D :D :D

  Marty Marty Marty, the 'qucik edit' fix didnt fool me:p I know what you originally wrote, and I quoted that. If people would care to look you will see Marty's post has been Edited, this is to fix his mistake and change it from 2004 to 2003. You really shouldnt tell me these things Marty;)

Ambrose has been driving very conservativly these last few rounds. He needs to pull his finger out. Murphy has been on fire and the new VY spec engine in his commadore seems to have given it some much needed toe. Very unusual to see a stone brothers car lack top end grunt but it seems that is the case although as i said b4 i think it has more to do with ambrose than the car itself.

As a Ford man i hope ambrose throws the shackles off and drives the **** outa that BA falcon like he did early this year. If he doesnt win then i would rather Murph take it out rather than that arrogant smug tool in skaife
